IET Lucknow Review

At the time of my admission, there was an entrance exam Upsee. Admission was on the basis of Upsee rank. Cut off of our college was around 2000 for general. But now the admission is on the basis of jee main rank. Jee mains require a minimum of 75% inboard for general, However, this year NTA has discarded the percentage criteria and only the 12th pass certificate is required for registration. There are 18% seats reserved for the OBC category and 22%for SC/ST category.

I choose Btech Computer Science as it is the most trending course and the placements in this course are good in our college. There is one faculty for every 60-70 students. Most faculty have done PhD from IITs or from some prestigious institutes. The semester exams are within a gap of 5-6 months and they are not so difficult to pass.

Many students here got internship offers from companies such as Scalar, Goldman Sachs, Walmart, Amazon, and share chat. Condensation has also started visiting our campus for internships. The projects were based on system security and system building.

The placements here are good and they are getting better each year. They are better than some NITs also. The students here are no less than the students of IITs and NITs. Students from the 6th semester became eligible for placements. Many good companies visit here such as Paytm and Optum, nuclei. Code nation has also started visiting our campus for internship and placement. Many students go off-campus and students here are placed in good companies such as Amazon, Walmart, and scalar. Students also grabbed internships at Goldman Sachs, scalar, Walmart, Trilogy, and Amazon. The highest package was 1.3 crore offered to one student from Google, London. Placement percentage is 90-95 % for CS/It students. Mostly students go in IT sector and other students prepare for other exams such as Gate,CAT ,IES.

The fee is around 89500 every year. the fees are constant and are not hiked. Each student who applies for the UP post matrix scholarship gets atleast 50000 rupees scholarship. The placement is getting better.

Annual fests are Encore, Shauryotsav, civista, and Alchemy. They are conducted every 2 months. The library is full of course books. There is a sports club in our college and sports fest are conducted every 2-3 months. Students participate in it. There are many clubs that are run by students such as the whiteboard, fractal, and robotics club.

The hostels are like the typical hostels of government colleges. The first year hostel is better than other hostels in terms of infrastructure band facilities. The meal quality is good in every hostel. The menu is decided by the students only. Mess Committee is made by selecting some students. Fees of mess are submitted through demand draft. The hostel fee is 14500 while the mess fee is 17000 for every semester.
