Remarks

The admission process was based on a merit list. The admission process was quite simple, just go to Sams website and it's there. The eligibility of the course required a minimum of 60% in the previous year's exam. You can find the online application form on SAMS Odisha's official website and the admission fee is 3500. Reservation benefits are availability of hostel and scholarship. The admission process is very long and they give one day for admission of about 500 students which is not sufficient.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I was very much interested in chemistry, I loved chemistry experiments in my previous educational institution. The chemicals always fascinated me. The faculty-student ratio would be approximately 20:1. According to the teaching style and knowledge, they seem to be highly qualified and each with a B.Ed degree of course. The teaching method is very good, to the point, Frank and friendly. Exams are prepared to test your knowledge. We gave a mid-term exam and it was a piece of cake.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, frankly speaking, fee hike is a major problem for poor students and I am one of them. I come from a very poor family and my family comes under BPL. So obviously the fee hike makes a deep impact on poor students' lives like mine. Scholarships like Post matric scholarship, utakala mani gopabandhu scholarship and lastly e-medhabrutti are available for students. We don't have any campus selection or stipend.

Campus Life

2.5

The most entertaining annual fest is Vasant Mahotsav. In this fest, several activities are held like dance competitions, song competitions, drama competitionss, cosplay competitions and many more. Along with these games and sports, competitions are also held. Classrooms are usually neat and clean but the benches are not good. Sports and games in also not good, the only games played are volleyball, cricket and kho-kho and sports none. No social groups or clubs are formed.

The curriculum is according to CBSH syllabus,New Delhi. The syllabus can include more practicals. And also the availability of instruments should be there to do practicals individually. The exams are normal ...but the time given can change sometimes due to external factors that might shift the exam dates.
