IBS Hyderabad

I was qualified for Prin Welinker and Great Lakes. I got accepted in Welinkar, Mumbai but I decided to take admission in IBS, Hyderabad because it is now a much better option for brand name and exposure. Admission criteria were to first clear the exam conducted by college i.e. IBSAT, then a GD round, and after that the final interview. On the basis of these and your academic scores, your grading will be done and you will be allotted a campus best suitable for your grades.

Except for a few faculty, every faculty is so involved and so great with their student that you will feel like a friend of them They would involve in your projects in your extracurricular activities, for example, one faculty organizes a bike ride every year with students a short trip somewhere and one faculty arranges mountain hikes, marathons, and whatnot. The student-faculty ratio in the class would be 60:1 for 1 lecture but you will have a personal guide allotted to you each semester who would guide you whenever you are having trouble.

There were a lot of opportunities in the college but my internship was self-generated as I wanted to work for manufacturing industries. There would be a list of companies in various domains to choose from the highest stipend was 2,25,000 for 3 months. So internships are sorted in this college.

I am still pursuing my MBA but I have seen HR placing with 16.5 LPA which is not a core competency of this college. All the big 4's come for placements. I think I saw a minimum package that went 6 LPA and the highest around 50 LPA. It entirely depends on the student how he/she will be placed.

14 lacs total in 2 years for tuition and an additional 5 lacks for hostels. Now the fees in increased effective by 2022 it will be 16 lacs for tuition and 5 for hostels The total fee I would be paying is around 18 lacs.

Post-Covid there were some restrictions to go out but the campus is so huge you can have the time of your life there. It includes mess, canteen, several cricket grounds, football grounds, volleyball ground, basketball ground, indoor game centre with billiard, chess, badminton, squash, etc.

Every student is provided with their own single occupancy room no sharing room with anyone which is one of the best parts of the hostels. There are two options 1 is with an attached bathroom but you have to pay 10,000 more and should have a medical reason for availing that and the other is single occupancy not attached but not to worry bathrooms are cleaned every day. Timings and tastes are not very good but every meal is a buffet in the mess with no restrictions. You can take as much as you want and as many times as you need. For vegetarians, there would be another mess if the menu has nonveg dishes in it. Nonveg is served 2-3 times/week including Chicken and Egg curry and boiled egg at breakfast Hostels are for 2.5 LPA in total 5 lacs This is a residential college so no option for living outside the campus you must live in hostels only.

My PI was very smooth but for clearing PI of IBS Hyd, you must be very good at driving the interview in your way because it will be the chance where you can show yourself completely. I was asked about my academic scores my theoretical knowledge and case scenarios to see how my decision-making is.
