Remarks

Students must have a science background in 12th. You can find application details of any kind on the college's official website. There are no such benefits of reservation in the college. The improvement that I want is there must be some tests taken to check the eligibility of students in specific courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course Because I want to work in IT Industry as a software developer. Faculty is average But the nature of faculty is good and the student ratio is also good in college. All the faculty members are well qualified. The teaching method is very efficient and effective. They teach in a proper way. Semester exams are conducted on a timely basis. They are conducted smoothly. The difficulty level of exams is average. If u are prepared then you can definitely pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

The students become eligible for placements in the last year of the course. TCS, Technology, lupin etc there are different offers made by the companies to different students. The highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest package is 3lpa as per the company. Profiles offered are of software test engineers and quality assurance, etc. 70 percent of students got placed in the companies. I do a job after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

1) There is no fees hike policy in our college. You can easily manage the cost of study. The cost of study is reasonable. 2)Scholarships is for SC and ST candidates. Financial assistance is also provided by the college. I have not got job on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
