MANIT REVIEW

The admission process is through the JEE Mains conducted by the government authority namely NTA(National Testing Agency). The application form of MANIT is found on the institute website and when we got admission in it you have to fill out that form and submit it along with the required documents listed in the brochure. The admission process of MANIT is good but one loophole I saw in it is that it does not consist of a separate portal for students in which students can access their performance reports. But the rest of the thing is very structural.

I am currently pursuing Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I chose this branch because firstly I got this branch on the basis of my jee mains rank and secondly ECE is an evergreen branch in which we got ample of opportunities at the time of college placements and if we want to prepare for UPSC examination. In MANIT, there is a good student-faculty ratio as compared to other engineering colleges as one subject is taught by various professors acc to their expertise and there is a HOD of them who co-ordinate their work. Faculties in MANIT are highly qualified. All faculties are Ph.D. holders from prestigious institutes and many research papers are also published by them. There are 3 types of examination in one semester in MANIT( Mini Test, Mid Term, End Term) and practicals are also conducted at the time of the end semester examination. Papers' difficulty level are good as the institute is of national importance and have to maintain its position and dignity.

Internship Opportunities in MANIT ate very well and most of the great tech and non-tech giants visit the campus and give internships to deserving candidates. The highest stipend given was 80000 per month by Goldman Sachs. In the 3rd year, 2 months of on-campus internship is given and in the final year, 6 months of internship is given to the students. Major top recruiter like Amazon, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs visits the campus for internships.

On-Campus Placements of MANIT is very good, especially in this year placements statistics are very enhanced and many big tech and ton tech giats visited the campus and recruited the students. The highest package this year was 48lpa CTC by google to CSE branch students whereas in the ECE branch highest package was 45LPA CTC by Amazon. The average package of the CSE branch is 16LPA whereas in the ECE branch, the Average package was about 12LPA, and in electrical branch, the average package was 11LPA. All the big tech giants visited the campus like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sach, etc. Non-core placements are also very good as many non-tech companies also visited the campus.

Fees of MANIT is very much affordable for students as it is a government college as the semester fee is about 75000 and hostel fee depends on the type of rooms taken by the candidate( for 1 seater- 45000, 2 seater- 38000, 3 seater- 35000)and it is on yearly basis. For first year students three seater rooms are compulsory and from 2nd year it is on prefrencial basis. Since MANIT is government college , there is relaxation in tution fee according to the income of the parents. Like, for below 1 lakh 100% tution fee is deducted and for income group, 1-5 lakhs, 2/3 rd of tution fee gets deduced and for above 5 lakhs per annum income group, no fees is deduced.

MANIT contains MP's biggest library which contains above 1 Lakh books. The library is a spacious and peaceful place to study. The classrooms of MANIT are very good containing all modern technologies. Labs are great having all types of equipment of the related subject. MANIT is spread across 650 acres, so we can predict the size of the sports ground. MANIT 's sports complex is very huge and good and has great infrastructure. MANIT consists of ample clubs and societies which conduct various events across the semester and members of societies and clubs are very supportive in nature.

MANIT Hostels are very good and large. For 1st year, three-seater rooms are provided which costs about 35000 for 1st year. From the 2nd year onwards, 1 seater, 2 seater rooms are available according to the preferences of the students. For 1 seater rooms, the cost is about 45000, and for 2 seater rooms, the cost is about 38000 and these costs are on yearly basis. The mess of MANIT is large containing all kinds of food material. The cost of mess is about 20000-25000 rs per annum. The meal is provided 4 times in a day but the quality is a little bit low.
