IIT Madras Review

IIT Madras is the top engineering college in India and I have worked very hard to get into the college. The college has 17 departments, 14 research centres, and a Continuing Education Programs Centre (CEP). The admission in the college is through the JOSAA counselling and after clearing my JEE exam I have to appear for JOSAA counselling to secure my seat in the college. I was able to make it into the college.

The curriculum of the college is latest and it follows all types of industrial developments and the curriculum help us to know about the latest industrial changes, in short, it keeps us up to date. The college faculty is of PhD degree holders and they have very good industrial experience. The faculty is the one that helps us during every step of the placement. The faculty teaching methods are a very good and proper combination of traditional and modern technology.

The college internship program is very well designed and the internship is compulsory to complete. The internship is an opportunity for us to implement our knowledge and learn new things from the corporate world. The average stipend for the internship is around 65k.

One can not doubt the placement quality of the college the college is the top engineering college of India so the college placement is also as per the standards. The college maintains a record of 100% placement. The highest placement offer of the college is 70 LPA and the average salary placement is 20 LPA. Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj, Auto, JP Morgan, American Express are among the top recruiter of the college.

The college campus is very good. The seniors of the college are quite professional. The college follows a no-ragging p[policy strictly. The college infrastructure is very good. The famous is designed in a very good manner. The college library is very big and we have all kinds of knowledgeable books and international journals available from all around the world. The college classrooms every well designed and maintain.

IIT Madras has a total of 19 hostels and of which 4 hostels are girls and 15 are boys hostels. IIT Madras hostel is termed the luxurious hostel of India. The hostel has 24 hours of WiFi facility free of cost. The hostel food is very good and the menu is very vast. The rooms are available on a double and single sharing basis. The hostel discipline is very well maintained. The hostel wardens are very professional. Sports facilities are also available. The hostel also celebrates the festivals like Holi, Pongal, Onam, Diwali, and New Year’s Eve.
