Infrastructure is good, Placement is average,and fees is quite affordable.

Till 2020 admission process was based on the UPSEE score but from 2021 seats are allotted to students based on their JEE Mains score. To get admission in Computer Science Engineering in REC Sonbhadra a candidate should have a rank under 1 lakh and for the electrical and electronics branch rank should be under 3 lakh. And for getting reservation benefits you must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh and must have a caste certificate issued by the competent authority.

I choose electrical engineering because I want to prepare for government exams such as ESE. And teachers here are well supportive and highly qualified. Faculty here are mostly from IIT and NIT and either done their Ph.D. or currently pursuing Ph.D. Exam here conducted by our University i.e AKTU and it is on a semester basis and the difficulty level is from easy to moderate also you have to give two class test of 30 marks which will add in your internal marks.

College does not provide any internship but you are free to join any of these opportunities from the Internet such as the AICTE portal. In the second year you will get a mini-project while in 3 rd year you will get your Major project and since this is part of the syllabus you have to complete it within the due date

Currently, placement is not good for core branches but for CSE it is quite good and other branch students also get a chance to sit in IT companies, and some of them are selected too. This year's highest package is 15 LPA average is 5 LPA and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. Also, placement is getting good every year and you may expect good placement stats till your year.

Fess here are quite affordable and fee hike is very less fee increase hardly after 3-5 years Hostel fees and mess fees is also less about 40k yearly. College does not provide any scholarship while scholarship is provided by samaj Kalyan vibhag which is under UP govt and complete college fees get reimbursed.

The annual fest is organized by seniors every year due to covid it has been canceled for the last two years. It is conducted in the month of oct-nov. The library facilities are quite good you will get almost every book you to use, and you can study there as there are a table chair and wifi facilities. Many sports competitions are conducted inside the college campus and a team can choose their players by bidding points. Interbranch competition, RPL(Rajkiya Premier League), competition between different hostels are conducted every year.

There is a total of three hostels and one is under construction. Two for boys and one for girls hostel. In the boy's hostel, each room will have 4 boys and in the girl's hostel, there are three in one room. Mess food is not good here. You have to maintain discipline otherwise you may be debarred from the hostel. Few students are living outside the campus but you will get more facilities in the college hostel.
