Life in CPJ College

Eligibility Criteria: Students must be pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject. Admission Criteria: Admission is on the basis of the merit of the written test / CET. And the fee for the examination is rupees 1000 The entrance test is held after the class 12 examination. The registration will be done on online mode on the University website i.e. www.ipu.ac.in Since I belong to the general category I don't know much about reservation benefits but reserved category students do get some relaxation in terms of marks. In Improvement, I want that the guidelines from the college regarding the admission process should be more clear.

I chose this because I wanted to pursue the course in the commerce course field. There are different subject teachers for different subjects. And there are around 55 students in one section. Talking about the qualification of teachers, some teachers are postgraduate while some have completed their Ph.D. Teachers use presentations for explaining a particular topic. The lectures are quite interactive. Two-term exams are held each year every 6 months and a one-time internal examination is conducted each semester. The internal exams are conducted by the college itself, whereas the external examination is conducted by GGAIPU. The term exams are very easy to pass if you have understood the topic well. Mugging up the topics won't help you much in gaining good marks.

Fees for each year are almost 90,000 and total fees for the whole course are around 3 lakhs. Additional charges are around 23k per year is charged if you are using the college bus. And also there is a 10% rise in the fees every year. There is no scholarship as such provided by the college. College provides internship and placement opportunities to the students if students want or they can also get from outside sources. This all depends on students' wishes as well as the skills they possess. But the college placement is not 100%.

There is about 2 fest held each year. First is the Diwali fest in which there is a concert by a music band which is a live event. Also, there are dance performances by the college students and many more. Second is Marktech in which there are many events that help students to meet with other students and competitions that help students to learn more. It is the best event held for international students of different courses. The library is flooded with books on all the subjects. Also, there is the option of getting a book bank. Fees of book bank are deposited during the time of admission only if you wish to choose this option and by showing the payment slip you can issue your book bank every semester. The classrooms are air-conditioned and also possess projectors and whiteboards. Sports day is also celebrated every year. During my time there were no social groups active in the college but now some social groups and clubs are active.
