Remarks
I got admission in BA Hons - Pol sc with a percentage of 90. Usually, there is an entrance exam taken in the college but due to the covid situation, my admission was done on the merit basis. Any student with first division can get admission but then there can be difficulty in selecting the batch if your percentage is not so good. Application form is available in the online website of St xaviers college (www.sxcran.org), the application fees is 800 and the forms comes in1-2 months after the end of the boards. And the admission process is quite easy but if you come under the scheduled sections or EWS and want to avail reservation then you should arrange for the required documents like caste certificate, income certificate, etc beforehand.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for pol sc hons because I wanted to and it will help me in the competitive exams. All the teachers are have good qualifications and very helpful to the students and the teaching method is also nice and interactive. For every semester there is a mid term exam and end exam and the marks of both combined will give the final result for each semester. It's not too hard but you should have a good concept of your paper to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
I am in the second year of my graduation and I am not aware of internships. But there are quite a number of internships that happen where students from commerce and science backgrounds participate. So you can find out about the internships from the professors.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fees is rs. 27000 per year and for three years of graduation, it's nearly rs. 72000. Other than that Exam fees are also taken (Rs. 500-700) for each semester. There are many reservations and scholarships given to the students who come under the reservation and EWS category.
Campus Life
Because of covid I have never experienced what being in college feels like but before covid happened, there were a number of fests celebrated in the college, there are many good clubs in the college like NSS, which are very helpful in building your personality.
