Remarks

Despite the covid pandemic, the university started the admission process very early just after the board's results were out. So they started the provincial admission before the jee exams based on boards results. On the regular conditions, the admissions are taken based on JEE MAINS/OPJUET/CGPET. You need to have at least 50% in 12th boards to be eligible for the admission process. I had 86.4 so I didn't have to do much. For the application process, you need to contact the university via call. The number is provided on the official website (obj.ac.in). After contacting them they will provide with the fees structure and further details. There are many scholarships on basis of your 12th percentage, like 70k for (90-100%) 50k for (85-90%) 20k for (80-85%) 10k for (75-80%) Overall the admission process is smooth but not sure about reservations. But there is an extra scholarship for reserved castes.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Well in the pandemic I don't want to drop a year and my Jee was also not great to get me a CSE seat in NITs. Moreover, the admissions in other colleges were to be very late around Dec whereas in OPJU courses were to be started in mid-August to September. The course structure is according to the latest education policy. We don't have those subjects which we don't need in our career such as physics and chemistry as computer science enthusiasts. Instead, we are more industry-oriented and we have tons of online seminars regarding entrepreneurship. The faculty No's are not more but the quality is good. Our programming faculty was a BITs Pilani star faculty and our MATHS faculty is an IIT K Ph.D. holder. As the new education system of India is concerned we are more focused on practical applications. So we have nearly more practical lab classes than theory classes. Tests are on time here and a bit challenging.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are internship opportunities are from the 2nd year itself. We need to do well in our tests and have good skills for the internships. There are various companies for internships and the stipend offered is around 15k. There are projects based on real-life problems and data analysis. It varies from company to company.

Placement Experience

4

From 4th year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Simens, etc visited in near future. The highest package is 32 LPA offered by amazon and the average is 5 LPA. 50-70% of students get placed but there are so many opportunities from here as they prepare us as per the industry demands. I looking forward to going abroad for further studies or a job that I'm gonna try off-campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very good considering the quality of education and efforts from the university. The university is expanding and improving day by day so we make expect a price hike but it won't be much. For me, the course fees for 1st and second-year is 120000 and for 3rd and 4th year it is 140000 According to the previous year performance, we have a scholarship like, 70k for (90-100%), 50k for (85-90%), 20k for (80-85%), 10k for (70-80%) For 1st year the 12th results are taken into consideration. There is good scope for placement and internships. I'm still a student here.

Campus Life

3

The library is well equipped with furniture and lots of books. No one needs to buy their books. There is a good connection of wifi all over the campus. There is a huge ground which is divided for various games such as cricket nets, basketball court, volleyball court, football goalposts, etc. There is a large badminton court as well. There is a well-equipped gym as well Every Classroom is equipped with central AC, good lighting, fans, whiteboard, and wifi. Mobile phones and laptops are allowed in the classroom. There are many Cultural and Technical feasts throughout the year. Ex- Gabra Nights, Technorolix, Junoon, etc where cultural dance, singing, drama, cooking, gaming, startup ideas, projects, and many more occur. There were many clubs and societies in the pre-pandemic period but during this pandemic, those are not functional. Hope they resume soon.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The Hostels are well equipped with furniture, wifi, lift, indoor games common room, study room, 3 large sets of washrooms and bathrooms. There is a large common dining hall. Beds are well mattresses and the rooms are provided with cupboards, tables, and study chairs. Menu and meal quality is decent but there will be no non-veg except eggs. And eggs are provided only 2 times a week. The registration process for a hostel is done during admission. The area is an industrial area where a society of Jindal is made. You can take rooms in apartments. There are bus facilities for PG but there are not many shops or restaurants. Only 1 very small market complex and 2 dhabas are available. There is tons of dust on the main road. Whereas the camps are full of greenery and well maintained with cleanliness.

Interview Experience

5

There are no such rounds these days but it was used to be there. Not sure it may be resumed soon. As I haven't gone through these I can't say much. There was OPJUET. Based on this exam the scholarships were given previously.

Placement Experience:

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

As I've mentioned above the management is worse but the teaching system is good. The director is a piece of shit a bald cunt. He did not even know what he was doing. He was a non cooperative asshole. All he did was snoooe around in classes and intimidated teachers. All in one it is a good college to tak admission in.
