Remarks

Campus's atmosphere is totally in favour of good education unlike most of other private colleges alumni is also good. The only drawback is it don't much care about entertainment of students.

I took admission through AIEEE and i got 52 marks in AIEEE. I Choose this course because i love making new structures

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the professors are PHD holders. HOD of the department is very strict and try his best to provide as much knowledge he can provide all other professors are also good.

Internships Opportunities

I m in 3rd year but till now i hadn't seen any company recruiting civil students at campus.

Placement Experience

There are good no of placements in all engineering branches except civil branch at campus level

College Events

College is not much interested in organising festivals but this year star night is to be held in campus in tech fest 2015

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hostels are very good with all facilities like washing machines, mess, sports equipment etc. Hostel fee is 8000 per semester. Mess charges 1800 per month extra

Yes scholarship is given to minorties by SGPC

Campus life is awesome if we don't much care about entertainment side labs are well equipped. College perform outstanding in sports at state level

Good campus life with decent academics

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Ambition of College
