NIT Mizoram Review

As I a from Mizoram NIT Mizoram is quite a popular name and I wanted to opt for my M.Tech program from NIT so NIT Mizoram was one of my first choices. To be part of NIT Mizoram one must pass its graduation program with a minimum of 60% marks from the related stream and then must qualify GATE exam followed by the GD and PI round. NIT Mizoram is affiliated with AICTE and is quite popular for its CSE programme.

NITs are quite popular for their CSE program and NIT Mizoram is also not behind. The curriculum is like the curriculum of NIT Patna. The curriculum is designed to impart knowledge and enhance technical skills among the students. NIT Mizoram also promotes innovation amount the student and the faculty of the college help student in the research work.

The college also provides an internship facility. The college placement committee helps you out to find companies during your internship program. A total of 25 companies visited our campus for internships during our batch. The stipend during internship mainly depends on various types of companies but it usually ranges from Rs. 10000/-- to Rs. 50000/-. Some companies do not provide an internship stipend.

The NITs placements are popular for its CSE students and NIT Mizoram is also not behind. the college placement committee is hardworking and they are quite helpful and they guide the students during the placement drive. Companies like IBM, Johnson Control India, Infosys, Polaris, Wipro, TCS, Vodafone, Samsung India Ltd, Tech Mahindra, Sona Blw Precision Forgings LTD visited our campus during the placement drive of the college. The highest package during our batch went up to 15.50 LPA and the average package was around 7.68 LPA. I also got placed in Wipro with the package of 12 LPA.

The college also provides scholarships for underprivileged and merit students. There is also a fee waiver program by MHRD. Students whose parents' annual income is below 1 lakh can avail of fee waiver program their complete hostel and school fee is waived off. The college campus life is good. The college celebrates every festival of India and national events are also celebrated by the college. The library of the college is equipped with all kinds of academic and non-academic books international journals are also available. The sports activity are also organized by the college every year. The classroom of the college are big clean and properly maintained.

The hostel rooms are big and the rooms are available on sharing basis. The rooms are equipped with beds, study tables, and an almirah for every student. The food of the mess is good and. The rooms are well maintained and are cleaned on daily basis. The hostel common room is equipped with LCD TV, carroms, table tennis. The hostel is equipped with all the basic facilities that are needed for students.

NIT Mizoram is one of the leading technological institutions in the country and all thanks to its faculty members. The faculties are highly qualified and master of their discipline with years of research experience in their respected subjects. The standards of the faculty are no match. The faculties are also engaged in extra-curricular activities with students.
