Internship Opportunity

The admission in this college was through NMAT exam. I had scored 242 out of 260. The cut off was 235 with 75 sectional cut off. I had cleared the written exam and after that appeared for PI. All the application related details were available on the college website and NMAT by GMAC website. According to me, they should start having single application form.

The course curriculum gives a wide range of understanding of concepts with the help of learning from academic groups. The course is structured in a way that there are certain subjects which are carried forward in next trimester from basic to advanced level. The faculty:student ratio is 1:30. The faculties already come from a rich background of experience and knowledge which help us in our classroom learning as well. The term exams are designed in moderate to high level to test the in-depth understanding of the concepts.

The college definitely provides immense opportunities to get good internship roles and stipend. The average stipend is around 60k per month. Few of the companies coming for internship also provide PPO to the students. The corporate projects provided by the college help students have some industrial exposure and also can be helpful in final placements interviews as well.

The college provides quite impressive 100% placements. There are few loyal recruiters which do come every year because of the great talent they get from NMIMS. The college also brings new companies every year with big brands providing all types of roles and great CTC. The average package is of 18lpa and highest being 34lpa. The first year students can sit for summer internship from second trimester and second year students can sit for final placements from fifth trimester.

The college fees structure of NMIMS is quite expensive as compared to other colleges mainly because of the location and the high level of quality education it provides. The college is quite helpful in terms of providing financial aid to the students to avail loan opportunities from various banking institutions. The jobs do provide stipends which are sufficient enough to return the loan amount.

The college organizes the biggest cultural fest, Euphoria which is held during the month of March. In this, all the cells come together to conduct events for students to participate. The NM Sports League is held every year for the students to participate in different sports activities. The books are delivered well before time and sometimes ebooks are available as well. The classrooms are well-maintained and spacious enough.

After clearing the written exam, I had appeared for Written Ability Test and PI in online mode. There were 2 panelists who were the college faculties. They mainly asked about my work experience, my background and current affairs. I had prepared for the PI by giving mocks and referring to the past experience of other seniors. Another important aspect was to write a Statement of Purpose.
