M.E life at College of Engineering Guindy

Best Govt engineering college in South India, oldest engineering college in India, beautiful college campus, great facilities including lab quality, library, college canteen etc makes the college top rated among others

I was interested to do masters in vlsi design and so chose this college. Tancet qualified people are been selected and a few seats are reserved for NRI quota too. All the faculties are well educated and most with phd degree and good teaching experience. Exams are conducted frequently in every semester and to get good marks one need to study well.

From 3rd semester in pg, students are eligible for placement. Many IT companies visit the campus. Core companies also visit the campus for particular courses. I got placed in cognizant and Infosys and I joined Infosys mysore for training after the college studies.

For self financing courses fee is a little bit more than usual courses. Campus placements are there. I got placed in both cts and Infosys. Core companies also visit the campus. Accommodation was not inside the campus for pg students when I studied. Separate flats outside campus are there in walking distance.

Life at the Guindy campus was the most beautiful one with a lot of great memories with a good bunch of friends. Techofes was the annual fest conducted in the months of March or April. So many competitions are been conducted as a part of this fest which most of the students are actively participate in them

Rented a flat near IIT madras for 13k per month. 5 of us shared this flat and its walking distance from College. Food was from College canteen. Tasty vegetarian food was available in canteen then. ACT College has a separate canteen which was in same compound.

Written test was there which was tancet common entrance test. No separate admission procedure was there. GD , Interview was not there. Once we are invited for counselling we are able to choose the college and course.
