Remarks
Besides the fact that it is located in beautiful Dehradun, some of the my other reasons for applying here was that it is a premium management institutes in northern India. what makes it different from others is that it offers a blend of managerial as well as technological skills. For admission I had to fill in the online registration form available on the website. I paid Rs 1000 as application fees and also selected my preferred date for interview.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum has been designed to provide us with global management perspectives and technology based new-age skills. Besides covering the basic management topics, the program also enables us to choose a major and minor specialisation at the end of first trimester. Mine was digital business and media and creative communication. The faculty to student ratio is quite small at our college hence our professors are able to personally attend to each one of us. Moreover they bring to the classroom a rich blend of academic achievement and industrial experience, which I personally really enjoy.
Placement Experience
The placements provided by my college are quite good. The career development cell helps in grooming us for job interviews and also conducts recruitment events regularly. Some of the top companies are Amazon, ITC ltd. Hindusthan Unilever, PepsiCo, Grant Thornton, EY, Axis Bank, HDFC, Byju's etc. The highest CTC was around 12.4 LPA and average CTC offered was around 6 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure includes tuition fee, Value Added Certificate & Programs, Employability Training, Support, Industrial Visits, 1 Week Domestic Study Tour to Mumbai which amounted to around Rs 79,000 for the first semester. I also had to pay Rs 50,000 as admission fees. During the second semester, I had to pay Rs 1,03,500. My School also offers merit-based scholarships to eligible candidates based on academic performances.
Campus Life
We have a very busy social life on campus as many cultural festivals, guest speaker sessions, and annual fest throughout the year. These events act as a break from the rigid curriculum and also enables us to socialise with our peers and collegemates.
Hostel Facilities
I chose to stay in the campus hostel as it was a better option for me. The hostel was on the campus grounds only so we were really located close to our classes and the library. The room has a really beautiful view. It was also somewhat furnished and has a balcony. I actually like that it is really airy and spacious. Other than that, there is also a gym and a laundry unit. The total cost for my room including cost of meals was around Rs 55,000 per year
Admission
There are no group discussions but I was required to appear for an interview with the admissions committee. Since I took admission during the pandemic, my interview was conducted online. The weightage pf the interview was only 30% hence I had to prepare a bit for it before actually sitting down for it.
