You have to register for SNAP exam and then for SIMS on its official website. One has to get minimum 50 percentile in SNAP to be elligible for SIMS, Pune. There is weightage given to your UG marks and 10th, 12th score also. The overall process is very smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA Marketing from SIMS Pune is an emerging course. More and more students are opting for this option, especially in the last 3 years. The student-faculty ratio for MBA Marketing is not very high, only 14:1, which is a good sign as more attention is given to each student by the faculty guides. Faculty guides are very well qualified with several years of experience in teaching. End-term exams are above average in difficulty level.
Internships Opportunities
Summer internships are also guaranteed to all students. Staffing (HR), Financial institutions, Power sector, Consultancy, Real estate, hospitality, pharma, IT, FMCG, BFSI are the major industries from where companies come. Highest stipend is Rs 1 lakhs and average is 30,000-40,000 Rs.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of SIMS is very active. They make sure that all students get placed. On an average, the ctc is Rs 9,50,000 per year and the highest can go upto Rs 26 lakhs per annum, as well. IT, Retail, Ed-tech, Banking, FMCG, Clou solutions, etc are some of the major industries from wheer top companies recruit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is Rupees 5,50,000 per year. The fees is lower than most major B-schools and competitors like NMIMS, IIMs, IMT, etc. The overall package is also above average and ROI is decent. Scholarship based on merits is also given to those who do well in their 1st year.
Campus Life
There are 3 major cells (Alumini cell, placement cell, and events cell). There are around 13 clubs (Production club, infrastructure club, sports club, Corporate presentation, Editorial, Academic club, MUN, SIMSARC, IT, Branding, Bloombeg, Social Activities, - Pranay and Yoddhas) and many more!
