Life Changing Experience: NMIMS

The admission process is quite simple. Firstly you need to register for the NMAT exam. This exam is just like other competitive exams and contains three sections: verbal, logical and quantitative aptitude. Then after getting shortlisted, students who clear the cut off have to give WAT and PI. The basic eligibility is 50% in 10th, 12th and gradation. You can give 2-3 attempts for NMAT with a gap of 15 days between 2 attempts.

The course curriculum is one of its kind. It is designed beautifully. It provides in depth knowledge of the subject. It also enables students to get industrial exposure from professionals. The faculty here is wold-class, highly experienced. They provide constant guidance and support to the students. The faculty here are more like mentors and facilitators. Everything is held as per the schedule, be it events or exams.

Various companies come to college with various profiles and roles. A stipend is also provided. A great learning opportunity is provided to students in form of interesting and engaging projects. Students get to experience the practicality of the things they are taught.

Placements start in the final year. NMIMS hold a record of 100% placements. Students are trained for the placement process. Various top companies visit the campus every year with varied profile roles like HR, sales, marketing, finance, operations, etc. Companies like ITC, Johnson & Johnson, Wipro, etc have visited campus.

The fee structure is the same as other B-schools. The cost for the whole program is approximately 22 lakhs. The college provides assistance to students for securing loans from banks. Various internship and placement opportunities are also provided on campus which are a source of great learning and growth opportunities.

I didn't get to expeience campus life because everything has been online. The college yet made consistent efforts to make us experience the same. Various events have been organised. The events are a chance for students to get relaxed and enjoy amidst the hectic schedules. There are multiple clubs and cells in college which can students can join according to their areas of interest. The campus life is amazing.

The Group Discussion wasn't held. There was a written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Topics for WAT revolved around general and current issues. PI revolved around the candidate, basic hygiene questions were asked, questions related to the subject were asked. One can prepare for these rounds by being aware of general and current issues. One should also work on their communication skills in order to ace the process.
