Remarks
The eligibility for the course was a graduation degree of 3 or 4 years. The application form for NMAT and NMIMS was on their official website. There were no reservation benefits as such and work-ex was not mandatory though it added value in personal interviews. The application fees combined were around Rs 5000 and dates will be mentioned on the site itself. It was an adaptive test with no negative marking and we can attempt the paper thrice in a year. After the entrance test, there will be WAT and PI.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite rigorous, but the faculty is good. The ratio of faculty to the student is around 1:1 and NMIMS follows the trimester trend in which we give exams once in 3 months. The teachers are friendly and very cooperative. There are mid-trimester as well in which we are supposed to give presentations, quiz or case discussions.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 11 lakh for a year making a total of 22 lakh and this is the academic fee in which the cost of the books is also included. There are certain scholarships that are offered from time to time on campus. There are some scholarships for government officials as well. So if one of the parents is in the government sector they can apply for that scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus life is very satisfying and joyful. There are various clubs for dance, dramatics, fashion and singing there is a cultural cell as well known as Nepathya which organizes various cultural fests like Euphoria which happens once in a year where famous artists come. There is a contest as well known as MR.NMIMS and MISS. NMIMS is very competitive. There are various sports events as well like Arcadia and different sports leagues. So it has a perfect balance between extracurricular activity and academics.
Interview Experience
Yes, there were WAT and PI at the time of admission. WAT is a written aptitude test which is of 20 mins in which we have to solve the case study and type down the answers. PI was majority profile-based and some general knowledge questions. They both are easy to prepare the sample questions and videos are available all over the internet or the coaching centers are there which help students in preparing for these.
