NMIMS Overall Review

Eligibility of the Course- A candidate should be in the final year of their undergraduate degree to apply for the admission process of the college, which includes an admission test followed by a Written Ability Test. Application Form - There is a notification released by GMAC, after which the eligible candidates may go ahead and fill the forms. The form costs around 3000/- which is to the higher side. Reservation- Although NMIMS offers reservations I did not avail myself of the same. No, the admission process is quite smooth.

My reason for an MBA in marketing was because of my affinity with products and how products function on the backend, this was the next logical step in pursuing my career forward. The faculty to student ratio is 1:22. The faculties are well qualified and have spent a good time in the industry and have garnered significant knowledge in their respective specializations. There are 6 trimesters and there are end trimester exams for the same, which demand at least 2-3 weeks of preparation.

The companies that visit campus are Google, Microsoft, Genpact, Marico, Flipkart, Dabur, ITC. The roles are diverse which include backend investment banking, equities and research, sales and marketing, and other diverse roles in operations. The process is rather smooth and lasts for about 2 months. The average stipend is 60,000 and the highest stipend is about 1.5 lacs.

Students are eligible for placements at the end of the 4th trimester, many major companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, General Electric are ardent recruiters. The average package ranges from 16-18 LPA and the highest package offered is 35LPA The campus boasts of 100% placements for both core and HR batches. To explore the marketing arena and start working in a company where I could use my skills for implementing and increasing market share for various products.

There is an average hike of 50,000 rupees each year for an incoming batch, for my case, it was 1195000, there are financial aids for students whose family income is below 8 lacs, but there are a lot of terms and conditions that follow the aid offered.

Euphoria is the annual fest conducted in the month of March. There is a lot of opportunities to explore in terms of books and knowledge, there is a vast library to explore the same. The classroom is well equipped with major resources that enhance the learning but due to the online scenario, we are not able to access the same. There are lots of clubs pertaining to Marketing Finance and Operations that are run by students and cater to various needs and opportunities.

There is a well-defined process, there is a written test, post which there is a cutoff in my case it was 248, post which we had a WAT and we were made to write on work from home and the impact. Being a fresher my interview revolved around a lot of what I had been doing in my undergraduate degree.
