Amity Business School; An emerging B school

It accepts major entrance exams like the CAT exam. The cut offs are not very high. Around 70 to 80 percentile will also make you get shortlisted for ABS. MBA Core from Amity is a well reputed course. There are around 70 students per faculty, so that can sometimes be a problem as too many classmates, makes it difficult at times to clear doubts. The faculty is well-versed with the course structure and teach very well. The exams after every term, are conducted smoothly online and there are no major technical glitches in the Amizone portal. The difficulty level is quite easy to moderate, and the level should be upped and made more difficult and rigorous.

100% summer internships are provided. The average stipend is Rs 15000 per month and it can be as high as Rs 30000 per month, too. Aditya Birla Life insurance, Times Group, IDBI Federal, Berger Paints, HCL Technologies, Jaguar, Hona, etc give internships. There is also scope for live projects given by reputed players like Idea, Max Life Insurance, KPMG, Oyo Rooms, Colgate Palmolive, etc.

There are 100% placements given. The average CTC is from 6 to 7 lakhs PA. The highest package is Rs 15 lakhs per annum. Before placements commence, interactions happen with corporates through guest lectures, seminars, etc. Then through aptitude tests, GD's and PI's, students are shortlisted. Many companies come from various sectors like the Big 4. Panasonic, coca cola, Nestle, Vodafone, KPMG, Dabur, Infosys, CNBC, Accenture, are the major recruiters.

The fee is Rs 7 lakhs per annum, which is quite decent compared to other B schools. There is also a scholarship for those who score well in academics. The cost to study is reasonable considering the good infrastructure and decent final placements.

There are several clubs and cells across domains. The major annual fest is the AMITY YOUTH FEST conducted in February. Ample scope for extracurricular activities is there. Finance clubs, debating society, literary clubs, HR cells, Advertising cell, dance clubs, dramatics society, etc make sure that ample events and activities are conducted throughout the year. There is also a massive scale annual sports fest called SANGHATHAN that is conducted. The online portal has ample books, research papers and study materials that one can access for information.

After shortlisting for CAT scores, there is a WAT PI round, where the written ability is tested. The written ability test has easy topics and sufficient time is given to complete it. PI round is also not very difficult to crack. The questions are easy to answer and you will not find a lot of problems in clearing the same. All of this happens smoothly within 1 day itself.
