Remarks

We have to give the NMAT by GMAC exam to be eligible for admission to NMIMS. Forms are available on the NMAT website. After filling out the application form, we will have to choose the slot and timing to appear for the exam through online mode or offline mode. Then after results are declared candidates are selected based on the cut off to next round that is WAT/PI. After PI the selected candidates get an admission offer. In 2021 the cut off was 235. There is a sectional cut-off for each section. It was around 70 for each section. The basic eligibility criteria is 50% in 10th, 12th, and graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for the MBA-HR program in NMIMS. Human Resources Management in NMIMS has gained popularity recently and the college is doing great in terms of academics and placements. Faculties are well qualified and are known for their pedagogy. Every course has 3 to 4 faculties who are from top universities. Faculties are very helpful and provide ample time to make us learn things. We have six trimesters for a total of 2 years programs. The curriculum is carefully designed and provides in-depth and all round knowledge of the subject. Students also get to learn through industry professionals.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The Summer Internship is very followed strictly and many companies come with lots of offers. And the roles offered are very much diverse. Besides that college also provides an NGO internship for a diverse profile. And a lot of corporate projects are provided to get a wide knowledge of the Industry. These are great learning opportunities for the students to grow and learn from industry professionals.

Placement Experience

4.5

NMIMS has a renowned legacy of 40 years and the placements are recorded as 100%. And there is a consistent growth in the average package. There are regular companies like ITC Reliance Wipro CTS and there are many new companies that are coming with attractive packages. Students are trained for the placement processes. Companies come to campus for various profiles like HR, marketing, sales, operations, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are determined on the basis of tier the college is in, the placement and academic records and the brand value. There are many scholarships that are provided to the students to financially assist and also a special appreciation for those who make it to the Dean's List. The college provides assistance in securing bank loans. There is 100% placements record.

Campus Life

4.5

Due to pandemics, we are having an online mode. And we haven't been to the college yet. We have heard of many functions and events but hoping to see that soon. But most of the events are happening in online mode and the administration has put a lot of effort in making the events lively. These events provide an opportunity to engage and interact with students across specializations and disciplines. There are various clubs that students can be a part of. Despite being in online mode, college has managed to organize various events and engage students.

Interview Experience

4.5

After clearing the cut off score we had to clear the WAT/PI round to get selected. There was a Written Ability Test where we got a topic on Women empowerment and after that a PI round where faculties were there in the panel asking basic functional and personal questions. Questions were related to basic hygiene, general knowledge of the subject, general awareness. Students confidence and knowledge is tested. I practiced a lot before this process and watched many videos on youtube to prepare myself.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
