Internship Review

I got admission to this college after giving NMAT exam. I had scored 252/360 and the cut-off was 235. I had to register separately for the NMAT exam and NMIMS college. 3 attempts were allowed and the best score out of 3 was taken into consideration with 75 sectional cut off. I believe that instead of having different forms there should be one common form.

The course curriculum is designed in a way to learn the concepts and cover all the aspects which will be needed in real life scenarios. The faculty: student ratio is 1:30. The faculties are highly educated and have many years of teaching experience in big institutes as well. The exams are moderate to high level to check the understanding of the concepts learnt in detail.

The internship opportunities are in huge amount because of the batch size. Also, the roles offered are in the domain of marketing, finance, general management, operations and HR. There are corporate projects offered by the college which help us in learning and working with industry experts. These projects also help the students during placements.

The placements are very well. For a summer internship, the first-year students are eligible since first trimester and for finals , second-year students are eligible since fifth trimester. The college provides 100% placements with average placement of 18lpa and highest being 32lpa. The profiles offered are in the domain of marketing, finance, general management and operations.

The fees structure is high as compared to other B-Schools as the hostel facility is not provided by the college. But the college has tie-ups with various banks which makes it easier in terms of financial loans assistance. Also, the job opportunities that provide stipends help in recovering the loans easily.

In online mode, the books are delivered at our homes by the college. All the books are delivered before the new trimester starts in order to avoid delay. The cultural fest, Euphoria comprises of various events with different cells participating in it. The classrooms are well-maintained. Every year NM Sports League is organised by the college to compete in different sports.

Due to the pandemic, only the personal interviews were held online. The panel consisted of 3 teachers and the questions revolved around my past experiences, my expectations from the college, etc. The final selection was on the basis of the composite score of NMAT score, PI and other marks from past education and work experience. I gave mock PIs and worked on the feedback received.
