Remarks

In this college, the eligibility for this course is HSC Passed with scores above 50%- General Caste and 45%- Other Castes. The application form, application fees, and application dates are on the official website of the college ie. vivacollege.org Or you can get details of the admission by visiting the college. Reservation benefits are given to the Other Castes, the fees are low compared to General Caste. No improvement is needed, the admission process is quite easy in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I was from the Commerce Field. The best thing about our course is that it has all the subjects like Accounts, Mathematics, Economics, Advertising, Auditing, Commerce, Business Law, etc. There are approximately 120-130 students per division, and there is 18 division for this course. Teachers in our college are highly qualified and very helpful. They help us in clearing every doubt we have. They explain every concept thoroughly. The semester exams in this college are quite easy but sometimes it's difficult. The pass percentage is a minimum of 60% aggregate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of this college is very low compared to other colleges. It's 7500/year for 3 years in Bachelor of Commerce(BCOM). There are multiple scholarships provided but I didn't apply for any scholarship, they don't provide jobs or any internships in this course.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest Saksham is conducted every year in the month of December & January. There are lots of books & journals provided to the college students in the library. The classrooms are well furnished and are huge, neat, and tidy. There are lots of sports and extra curriculum activities conducted on the campus like games are condducted for the degree college students. There's no clubs or website for students run by students.

Other Applied Colleges

Vartak College, Vasai. | BCom

As I was a Inhouse student in Viva college and college was nearby, I didn't opt for this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.
