Course Curriculum Overview
I choose 3yr DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING because i have a lot of interest in the electronics field also love to work with electronics components and work on small projects. The faculty members of ISTC are well educated & trained in their fields. The ratio of faculty & student is 1:10. The end semester exams held after every 6 months & not difficult to pass, the exam is of 50 marks and time for same is 1.5 hr
Internships Opportunities
During summer vacations students are able to do their summer training in industries according to the interest of students in any field, i complete my summer training in PCB designing for 4 weeks. The college doesn't call any company to offer students for their internship. You have to do your own effort to find a company and request the MD of the company to give an internship opportunity. After completing summer training the students have to submit their industrial training reports which show what the student learned in industry and viva questions are asked to students related to training that they had done.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placement ( only those students who have aggregate equals to or more than 60 and have no backlogs in previous semesters) Mainly private companies come for campus placements. Companies like Fanuc, EPL, Mexico, moderate, Hawkins, have are visited and packages of 3.5 lakhs are provided by these companies. About 90% of students are placed every year during campus placements. I want to do a job in BHEL.
Fees and Financial Aid
ISTC fee per semester is 20000/- [17500 Tuition fee + 2500 student welfare fund] & 6000/- hostel rent if you are a hosteler. A middle-class family can afford this easily you got practical knowledge in this amount. If you study well and score rank in the top 7 in semester examinations then you will get scholarships from college which is concession in 50% of the total fee for any current year. I scored 3rd rank in 2nd yr and i got this scholarship. Also, the college provides scholarships to economically weaker students(only 7 students per yr) the basis of this scholarship is also the same. There are some other scholarships which student apply their own like NSP.
Campus Life
Campus life is like school life. Here you are not independent to do anything. The college maintains a strict discipline in the college no classes bunk or mass bunk is allowed, if you try to do this then you are directly suspended. The main motive of college is to give classes or practicals to students. That's why no fests are conducted. Cc tv cameras are installed in every corner of the college. Their is a sports lecture of 1 hr where you ca go to ground and play your favourite sport like football, cricket, volleyball, tennis, etc. But today's time the theory classes are conducted online so the sports lecture isn't organised. Also there is sports week in February where sports competitions are organised by students.
