There's no particular entrance exam. One need to have a good score in their board exams and must have a good knowledge about the course they opt for.

The college has a well structured academics. This college is under Bharathiar University and follows the credit based system. Apart from the main stream you'll get to study a course from another department which is known as the Extra department course (EDC) for one semester and this helps the students to get along with the students of other departments.

There were no internships provided in our department and I am not sure about the other departments as well. You could check it out in the website or the admission office.

Talking about placements SKASC promises you with good placements. Majority of us got placed in various companies. Since I was from biotech department we too had placements related to our course. If one has a good score..when he/she completes the course he/she will have an offer letter in the hand.

Our college encourages with various technical symposiums and cultural events. Students are made to participate in any of the events. National conferences are held in various departments and many students from various colleges come and participate.

The fees is affordable and it varies with departments. The college provides scholarship under certain terms but I'm not very sure about it. It can be verified with the admission office in the college. The fees varies depending on the courses available in each departments. Some departments have special courses from Oracle,which is compulsory and you'd need to pay more, yet, affordable.

Talking about Gender ratios, both boys and girls are given equal preferences and are encouraged to participate in various activities. Sports are given equal importance in our college, they're given intense training for various competitions. There are no partiality for certain caste, creed or religion. All are treated the same. There are various workshops conducted to improve one's personality and they're trained to face debates or extempore during their final placements.

College life is most enjoyed when one stay at hostel. The boys hostel is within the campus and the girls hostel is near vlb college which is metres apart. Hostel buses are there for accessibility at girls hostel. The food here is excellent and the only thing is they avoid oily snacks in the evening. There's a store inside girl's hostel with all the basic amenities. There's a beauty parlour too. Every floor in the hostel has a TV room. The hostels are well maintained and cleaned regularly. There are separate places for washing clothes. Since I'm from Kollam I needed a home away from home and this was it. I really enjoyed the stay at the hostel. Outings are restricted and only parents or guardians are allowed to meet. The security is so strong and every parent will be satisfied dropping their daughter at the hostel.

There are 6 semesters in total. Each semester has two internals one models and then the final exam. Apart from that, there maybe few class tests to assess and improve the knowledge about the subject. Lab exams too follow the same but it varies with departments.

The faculties are all well experienced and they're so devoted in what they do. They are ready to help any student who find difficulty in any aspects. The faculties of my department were very friendly. Faculties make sure that each student gets a "hands-on" experience especially in science labs.
