The candidate must be Inter school pass with PCM. The form can be filled online as well as offline. Reservation is given to sc,st,obc,evc,girls. The offline form should be available in other cities of the state for a wide accessibility

Course Curriculum Overview

Opting Bsc gave me an opportunity to study in detail about science so that I could achieve my dream of becoming a teacher. Dav being a government college under central universityhnbgu has a very experienced and knowledgeable faculty, lots of teachers in lots of branches, the students to teacher ratio is about 50:1 meaning for every 50 students there's 1 teacher available and for every branch irrespective of the student's ratio there never has been shortage or absence of teachers, they give the best for the students. The exams are taken semester wise, 2 semesters in a year with internal and external in each semester and the exams are conducted timely without any delay The exam level is moderate, any student who has taken classes regularly can pass easily with good marks. And during the corona period exams were conducted online but were timely and despite having lots of students the college conducted the exams in an appreciable manner.

Fees and Financial Aid

The best thing about DAV pg College Dehradun is its fee structure. Even a financially weak person can study there with ease with the best faculty in the city. There is hardly any fee hike from the beginning to the end of the session. The fee taken is between 1500 to 3000 rupees per semester and reserved students are given relaxation. The college has no placements facility as it's a government college for degrees only unlike engineering or medical Colleges.

Campus Life

Besides giving the best education in the city the college also provides you to enjoy the most in your youth. College fests are organised occasionally during festival seasons and new year, freshers party and farewell are also organised for the new and parting students. The college also has a quite big library so you can get all the books you want to study, there are almost all books related to our syllabus and even more for the interested. There's NCC in the college and cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton are usually the sports played in the college For other passionate students in arts, debate there are also clubs for that and the college occasionally conducts inter and intra competitions in these fields and there are special seminars and classes conducted for future courses such as UPSC, SSC, NDA etc.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

Why it's the best...

Likes

They prioritize education and teaching more
Social interaction with others in college is appreciable
Lab is fully equipped for experiments or practicals

Dislikes

Campus of our college is not too good and small
Absence of ac in library and other needed areas
Quality of infrastructure of classes is little bit poor

Placement Experience:

When one enters the final semester they become eligible for campus placement and many companies offers and discusses with them. Companies such as IGL, Vib care pharma, AVANTOR and many others visits every year with offers.

Likes

I like the hostel security and there are no ragging
Good teachers and friendly. Helping us lot.
Good infrastructure and better environment..

Dislikes

Hostel food is not so good. Small hostel room

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester student are eligible for placement. There are various plywood industries and forest base non Timber industries and cricket industries. The highest average package is like 4.5 lakh per year.

Likes

I liked mostly the environment of my college. College. was situated in hills . So the peace , the environment, weather, education everything was perfect. The rooms , library, the field of our college
The education system of our college was good .I liked the most the education system every faculty was good and take responsibility of each students.the teaching was of faculty was superb . Every we understand easily. The also teach us on ppt .
Department of science,arts each department was available and a big auditorium for function parties was there. Each subject lab also there . lab instruments lso available

Dislikes

One thing was I disliked was due to cold weather or snowfall dec to february college is closed.
I disliked the book issue system it takes maximum time to get a book from my college.
The period was too long . Not only 1 hour it almost 2 hour classes.

I chooses the best course. Because my faculty was good I can ask him freely if I have any doubt. And it increases my interest in my subject. And the experiment we do make us progressive for our future. Yes but one thing I will say the duration of time period will be increase

Oerfect college

I didn't apply to another college I just want to be a part of DAV College because of the structure as a middle class family was good second and thought about MKP but the environment was to unhealthy as compared to DAV. I didn't get any rejection from any colleges because I get good marks in 12th but I want to be a part of DAV so so I choose DAV. The admission admission process was simple but you first you have to clear cut exam and 12th exam board with good marks now you have to go to the campus main office so you can get the exam form and online you can also apply there will be some cut off and if you are general you have to be get good marks because SC ST OBC will get reservation also...Read More
