Timings, fees, rules, updates regarding the new course and semester result, and your confirmation of admission in college I.e lists consisting of application number of candidates will be mentioned there on the DEI Home website. If you belong to any minority group then they must have certain seats reserved for that particular category like the application form fee is lesser for minority groups. College has been improved through the years.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the civil engineering course as I am interested in Civil related works and the development of structures through the years. The engineering faculty is the largest faculty among all the faculty present in the college. It consists of about 40 plus teachers including professor and assistant professor. Most faculty teachers are passed out from IIT's, NIT's and DEI itself who was Awarded the director's medal. Faculty teachers are very nice and their teaching experience is also very good. Teachers in DEI mostly pay attention to the discipline of the student and in dayalabgh there is not only studies but also there are many activities like farming, industrial visits which helps the students to enhance their knowledge in every aspect. We have to give certain DHA's(Daily home assignment) and CA's(Class assignment) which is the part of final grading and then CT's( Class test)-CT1 & CT2 (best one will be considered) and then final exam End Semester exam. Passing in DEI is not much difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided by professors to their students and also many internship programs students get online. Talking with the seniors they told me that the company does not play a role but students' skills, communication, and all matter a lot in their placement cell.
Placement Experience
I'm engineering after 3rd-year students are eligible for campus placements and in 2nd years students are eligible for training related to their respective field. Almost 70% to 80% of students are getting placements from DEI and placements are high in electrical engineering as compared to any other field like civil, mechanical, and footwear engineering. After getting a degree I want to prepare for my dream job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is available for each student in college which is provided by UP scholarship through govt. Through scholarship, you can pay the college fee. Hostel fee for dei is also not very high it cost around 4000 INR. So it cost around less than 50,000 INR for the whole course in college since I am a civil engineering student it cost around 50,000 for my whole complete b.tech and for other courses the fee is less as compared to engineering. So if you are not a financially strong and bright student so you must define apply for college because it provides value education. Till now I am a student and I feel that for the placement student skills matter more than the college if you are a bright student you'll definition get the job of a great package. In DEI you got 80% placement through college.
Campus Life
There is no annual fest conducted in college but there a inter and Intra Faculty Competitions are conducted like general quiz, drama, singing(group and solo), anchoring, rangoli, Dancing, etc are conducted and supervised by teachers of particular faculty. Also, there a separate game period provided to the freshers to play games whichever they love and later on competition in sports are conducted like running, cricket, volleyball, basketball, chess, carrom, etc. There is a GDSC dei club run by the student.
