Remarks

Be lenient and be industry-ready. Understand, what is the need of the industry and then based on that design the curriculum and teach accordingly. No use in sticking to 1950 methodologies and courses.

Entrance Preview

I wrote IIT JEE and REE exam but chose IIT R as it was getting converted in IIT and I was getting CS here and other branches in other colleges- IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview

All Computer Science subjects like- Compiler, Operating System, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, etc.Electives were- Sesmology, Russian, Hindi, etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

200+ companies came. I was placed in Sapient and Qatar Airways. Highest was 32 LPA in Schlum and the lowest was 1.8LPA in Infy. The Average was 3. CS average was 3.25 LPA.

College Events

Thomso CognizantEarlier there were departmental events but after becoming iit, these 2 became major events with an alien gathering of 1500 +ndian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. There were grants too. It was 26-28 thousand in a sem. 18K tution and 6K mess. This was, it became like 2-2. 2 lacks for 4 years except for the pocket money.

Fees and Financial Aid

McM, I availed. There were a few many based on various criteria.

Campus Life

IIT gender ratio is 5 girls in 100 students. Else it was fun. Hostel Party- Bhawan day each year workshops- rare except the HEC events Cultural societies were like drams, music, lit sec, img, spic macay etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels- 4.5/5Mess- 3/5 as no nonveg was there, We tried to induce better food except grass wala palak paneer, but failed big time for iit r faculty's resistance.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Need more formulated Alum network. There are more unofficial groups than formal. the insti shall contact all alums and bring them on a common platform. They have all means to do so.

Exam Structure

2 midterms + 1 semester there were practicals too. Each exam had weightage and the final cgpa used to be based on the normalization of all students in the branch and year.

My college review

Placement Experience:

Stuiarw eligible for placement from 6th semester . There are so many companies visited such as wipro, Deloitte, hcl, tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. Highest package of BTech is 1.24 cr and average package is 40000. Percentage of students get placed is 60%. My plan after degree is to get an good it job.

GEU is an adventure!

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

Pringle, The Sleep Co, Lenskart, Luscious, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, Facebook and every tech company which potentially can come have come to our college for placements. On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT ROORKEE in a nut-shell

As we know IIT ROORKEE is one of the oldest engineering college in while asia and has a very good alumini connection and placement record so i chose it and it is also closer to my home. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
