Growing and Developing at IMS

The eligibility criteria for students to get admission at IMS is that they must have a minimum of 65 percent in the 12th board examination. I haven't availed of any reservation benefits but there are reservation benefits given to students. We can register ourselves for admission through the IMS website then the College directly contacts us for the admission process. A counselor from the College itself counsels us then they take our interview, on that basis, they select the students.

The faculty of the IMS is very supportive and highly qualified with many years of teaching experience. Most of the professors have done Ph.D. and they have very good knowledge of their respective subjects. The teaching methodology of faculty members is so convenient they make topics so easy to understand which helps us in learning the topics. I chose BCA because I want to become a data scientist. There are two-semester exams each year which are held in a 6 months duration.

There are many internship opportunities for the students of IMS. Some of the companies which recruit students are TechXaaSoft, HCL, TCS, Flipkart, and the roles offered to the students are database management, graphic designer, marketing and sales, etc. I got selected for the internship by TechXaaSoft where I got 5000 per month as a stipend.

The College provides 100 percent placement assistance. From the 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. The companies who visited campus for selecting students are Flipkart, Jio, Deloitte, HCL, TCS, Kredily, Sony, Amazon, etc. The highest package offered is 13 LPA and average package offered is 6-7 LPA. More than 60 percent of students got placed through campus.

The total fees for a year are 125000. There are many scholarship opportunities for students some of them are based on academics, siblings studying in the same College, parents working in the army, widows, SC/ST. There is loan assistance given by College if needed. Currently, I am pursuing BCA from here but the students of the College got placed in Flipkart, Deloitte, HCL, and so on with an average package of 6-7 LPA.

Life at Campus is amazing we get a lot of opportunities to explore and learn. Markfest is the annual fest conducted in the College which includes a marketing quiz competition, ramp walk, flash mop, and business haat. The competition is an inter-college competition where the students are judged based on their creativity. The library is updated and has all the revised books available. There are 23+ student-driven clubs some of them are Cultural club, Finance club, Marketing club, Desktop-App club, HR club, etc. Various activities are conducted by each culb for the students to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Yes, I faced a personal interview for admission. I was asked some general questions and some basic questions related to my course. The criteria for admission is a minimum of 65 percent in the 12th examination. After clearing the telephonic interview I got admission to the College.
