Remarks

I got admission into IMI, Bhubaneshwar by giving CAT exam followed by GD/PI and WAT. In CAT exam, paper was of 2 hours having 3 sections including VARC, LRDI AND Quant. There is negative marking. In got 80% in CAT and then I appeared for GD and WAT and then for PI.

Course curriculum is good at IMIb, here we follow case study approach in which we get a chance to be in the shoes of managers and then take decisions. Also, here at IMIB, we have excellent faculty as all of them are holding Phd and are having prior experience in many top B-school like IIM A, IIM B and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure- The total fee is 12 L which is to be paid in 6 installments as here at IMIB, we follow the trimester method. and hostel fee is 4 L. Scholarship- here if students have more than 80 percentile in cat, we get scholarship up to 70%.

Life at IMI campus- life is really great at IMI. It is a student-driven campus, in which all the activities and events are managed by students. Over here, in IMI we are getting opportunities to be a part of various club and committees

Fantastic hostel facility (Ac & Non Ac both) Food quality is average. You will be getting 4 times meal The registration process is smooth, college officials will brief you when you take admission Pg facility is not available

Interview Experience

Gd topics are general at IMI, you just have to be confident and good in communication skills. Then it is easy to crack. My topic in GD was Why women can't be a good manager. there were 3 members in panel

Students become eligible after completing their internships. Generally after the 2nd semester students start to sit for the campus process. Companies like: Federal Bank, Axis Bank, Big Basket, SBI securities, Yash Technologies, In2IT, Asian Paints etc visit for hiring top talents from this college. Almost every student gets placed and further assistance is provided too. Majority of the students pursue their corporate career after getting placed, while some also go for higher studies. It has state-of-the-art architecture with a blend of culture
Has highly talented professors along with efficient pedagogy

The food provided at the mess can be improved to some extent

Course Curriculum Overview:

The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.

The night life if good, and for me gym is the best part
The faculties have good experience and teaching skills
The mess food is also good as of what is expected as stereotype.

Dislikes

The classes some time are too much to handle
The n number of rules and regulations regarding the hostal
The basketball court and cricket ground could have been better

The course is all about management where I get to learn how to manage time with daily n number of activities. Because PGDM course is actually to prepare a person for corporate life. And this course is actually a corporate simulation with education.

Campus life is quite interesting with activities happening every month
Renowned faculty is there to guide us and the lesson plans include a lot of practical thinking
Placement is decent and plenty of renowned companies come on campus.

Dislikes

Time crunch. With so many activities students often feel burnt out

A glimpse into MBA life

As I study PGDM in IMI Bhubaneswar, I opted here through CMAT where I had 89.85 percentile. I applied here and then got interview call. It is a profile based college so cut off is not the only thing upon which you will be evaluated. I got PI call within a week. I had my PI . Basic questions were asked.
