The admission process was completely online in SIDTM due to the pandemic. The Eligibility of this course is 50% in Graduation from any stream and a valid SNAP score of approximately 82 percentile. SNAP or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is an all India Management Exam which is a 60 minutes objective exam testing on English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The exam can be given 2 times and the best of two scores can be sent to the college of your choice. The application for SNAP can be found on its official website with an application fee of Rs. 1950 /-. After fulfiling the above requirements one is shortlisted for the further rounds which are Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

I chose this course as SIDTM offers 3 specializations to choose from Systems, Analytics, Marketing, and since from a management background, I can choose the specialization of Marketing irrespective of the fact that it is a Telecom dominated institute. The faculty is well qualified and come from various backgrounds such as commerce, accounting, etc. The teaching method is mostly related to PPTs, and pdf handouts. Exams are fairly easy to pass. The faculty to student ratio is 8:1.

From 2nd Year one is eligible to sit for placements. The companies that visit for placements are Deloitte, Salesforce, EY, Vodafone, Adani Group, etc. The roles they offer are Marketing Manager, Strategy Manager, Risk Consultant, Business Consultant. Consulting and Managerial roles are the main domains the companies offer. Also, there are roles for Cyber security and IT strategy management. The highest package offered is Rs. 29LPA, the average is Rs. 15.7LPA and the top 100 receive Rs. 13LPA.

Fees are 7 lakhs per year. Fee structure includes Academic Fees, Institute fees, Mess Fees, and Hostel fees. The fees could be hiked to 10% depending on government and university regulations. Merit scholarship of 50% from academic fees will be provided to the Semester topper with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 out of 10. Financial assistance will be provided to lower-income groups provided they show the relevant documents to avail financial assistance. The placement in SIDTM is 100% and the highest package is Rs. 29LPA and the average is Rs. 15.7LPA. Internship stipend ranges between Rs. 57,000 to Rs. 1.6 lakh.

Campus life is great. There are various committees such as Sports Committee, SPARSH committee, Branding Committee, Fest Committee, Marketing club and Finance club. There are various celebrations of Indian festivals and sometimes sports activities are also organized. Classrooms are high-tech as they have smartboards, projectors and labs. There is a Central library that has both books in physical form and also has an online repository of ebooks, emagazines. Instagram and Facebook are the most popular social media handle that is handled by the SIDTM student committees to give regular updates of day to day activities.

The hostel facility is great. The cost is Rs. 1,00,000 per year. There is single, double and triple occupancy. The meal provided by the Mess is good, as it caters to different tastes and varieties as the students in the campus demand. There are student representatives for Mess one can approach them if they have concerns. There is LAN cable in the room for WIFI connectivity.

Post shortlisting by SIDTM one is selected for further rounds which is Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Interview. Also known as GE-PIWAT. The Written Ability Test involves writing ONE essay out of 6 topics on an online portal for a time duration of 30 minutes. The next round is the Group Discussion where there are 7 to 8 members and the panel gives a random topic for discussion or debate. An individual student is given 2 to 3 minutes to put forth their opinion in front of the members and the panel. The final round is the Personal Interview where there is a panel of 3 to 4 faculty members of SIDTM who ask questions about your academics, hobbies and judge you on the basis of your confidence and indivdual personality or achievements.
