Sourabh Makam's Review On Ballarpur Institute Of Technology - [BIT], Chandrapur

I gave MHCET exam and secured 31 marks out of 200. I opted for this college is it was in the place where i was residing. On more reason is that my parents were not in situation to send me far from them as i am the only child. The emotional front chained me to be in my place.

The course curriculum was average pertaining to present research scenario. The syllabus included the basic subjects but none of which was revised from past 15 years. One good thing was the college was not a deemed university so it had to follow the syllabus set by nagpur university.

No the college doesn't provide any type of internship. One should seek internship from the neighbouring companies or industries. The stipend all depends on the companies and surely would be paid less than 5k.

The placement cell seemed active enough in the starting stage as they were preparing students for facing interviews. Only one startup software company came to the campus placement named "Oakland Systems" which was based in Nagpur. The package was around 1.3 lakh per annum that too only for computer science students. Remaining students from other branches were just ignored.

There one for all event called as "AURA" which was held annually for grooming the students and to showcase their talents. The event included all sort of competitions be it technical, singing , dancing , sports etc. Each one will actively participate in the events and would make it a grand success. It usually held at district level and many other colleges are requested to participate.

No scholarship has been provided to any student till now. As they did not produce that kind of talent why would they have any situation to fund a student or give away a scholarship.

The exam structure was pretty solid and there were frequent lab sessions. But as the teaching was a loophole many students were chilled out. One who was really cared about the future consequence had to struggle alone and study hard to compete with the nationwide race.

According to your marks one has to enter these marks into a form where 20 colleges of your choice can be specified where one wants his/her admission to be. The particular college will place a counselling session where all the academic documents are checked and verified. The administration was just for name sake. They were only there for minting money i suppose.

The faculty which you would see as knowledgeable were less in count. And others were just passed out from their graduation. They were more type of egoistic in nature. None of them were to be inspiring or to see as a rolemodel. Even sometimes students can explain the concepts better then faculty.
