Remarks
To be eligible for the course, you need to take at least one of the following entrance exams: CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, CMAT. The application form is available on the college website: jagsom.com And the batch will commence on July 2022. The admission process consists of four rounds.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this course at Jagsom is designed to acquire both width and depth of knowledge and skills of finance. The course curriculum has been designed after extensive research with key stakeholders into the learning needs of 4.0. Jagsom 'Bespoke Curriculum' provides the learners the flexibility to create their individual learning paths, aligned to their career goals. Jagsom has a very experienced faculty with a lot of experience in their domains. The best thing about faculty is they are very friendly, approachable.
Internships Opportunities
The four and half month long internship is placed in the last term of the PGDM program. It provides a transitioning bridge between theory and practices for students by enabling them to learn by doing.
Placement Experience
100% placements are achieved in 2021. The average salary is 10.21 LPA. The highest salary is 16LPA. Morgan Stanley, Nestle, Oracle, PhonePe, S&P Global, TCS, Infosys are some of the prominent names who are visiting the campus for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for the course is 14,40,000 which includes boarding and lodging in the hostel. Students are eligible to take the scholarship test conducted by the Jagsom. No opportunities to do a job on the campus because you don't have that much time on the campus.
Campus Life
Jagsom library has thousands of books related to management and all leading journals. A Digital library is also available to the students where we can access a lot of textbooks from famous authors. Classrooms are equipped with all the necessary infrastructure. The best thing about Jagsom is it has its own playground in front of the hostel and every student is encouraged to participate in some kind of sport.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are decent. Double sharing and single sharing rooms are available. Food is good with a good menu. Hostel premises are clean and hygienic. Hostel security is good and an ambulance is also available in the hostel for medical emergencies.
Interview Experience
The admission process starts with the IPT(Innovative Potential Test) which examines your writing and innovative thinking ability. The second round is Group Discussion where they examine your speaking skills. Next, there is an interview with the faculty panel where they test your interest in the course and your ability. The process ends with an interview with the shoulder batchmates where you can clarify your doubts about the college.
