Remarks

College management is very understanding. They very well take care of the students. Overall it is a gud college to persue education with all activites and extra curicullum.

Entrance Preview

I had given AIEEE exam in which i scored 55 marks . My rank was nearly 2 lakh. I got this college from punjab technical university counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is according to the university. Total number of 8 semesters with almost 4-5 subjects in every semester along with practicals ,viva and labs.

Internships Opportunities

Internship experience was good. Companies like Wipro, Unisys, Royal enfield, Emerson, GST global, Cognizant and many more. Stipend in wipro was 17000 and in others were 15000. In some companies no stipend was paid.

Placement Experience

Companies like Wipro, Unisys, Royal enfield, Emerson, GST global, Cognizant and many more. Wipro offered 3.25 lakh package and other were nearly 2.75 and 3.

College Events

Every year tech fest is celebrated in the month of november. Events like E-week and akhand path were celebrated. Teachers day ,engineers day is also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was ok . Semester fees was 42000 and there is examination fee of 750 rs every odd semester. There is also fee wavier for scholars and single girl child and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships is provided according to percentage and there is fee wavier of single girl child or siblings in same college. Miniority fee wavier scheme was also there.

Campus Life

Campus life is full of fun and learning experience. There is provison for almost every sport. labs are absolutely fine with all equipments. Students get a chance to participate in many inter and intra college competitions. Debates and robotics is also there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are excellent. There are attached bathroom to every room along with gyser facility and sweeping facility. Hostel is very clean and tidy .mess food is good sometimes boring.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very coperative providing various notes and help regarding studies and projects. Interaction with seniors in hostel and college is very much. No chance of ragging .

Exam Structure

Exams was not very much hectic but there were 3 monthly sessional tests in every semester and one final exams. Total number of 8 semester and in every semester there were 3-4 labs .

Faculty

Faculty was well educated, experienced. Every subject has some senior teachers. Teachers are highly energetic and co-operative. Very helpful in giving extra training and guidance.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
