GATE and written test followed by an interview before a panel of six faculty members of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Need to fulfill the required CGPI in a year and then a comprehensive examination will be held. After successful completion of comprehensive exam including written test and presentation of the work done in past, finally registered as a Ph D. student.

Internships Opportunities

yes institute provide internship. Internship are provided by MHRD through college. But internship always credited late.

Admission

Then you will be assigned a guide and a committee of faculties who will review the progress time to time. Then every year need to present your research progress.

Faculty

Worst among all the IITs, characterless, rude, unethical, all the works to be performed by teaching assistants which are research scholars. Institute lacks faculty and research scholars have to perform all the academic tasks of guide as well as teaching supervisor.

My experience

Likes

I like the greenery and the vibe. Also the air is very fresh.
Research environment is good and motivates us to research
Scholarship provided to the students makes the education affordable

Dislikes

Admistrative process should be fast.....
The time of classes, examination and events overlap
Departmental coordination could be improved.

Placement Experience:

Shoolini University of biotechnology and management sciences provide scholarships and the average scholarship is around 5-8 lakh per annum. And lowest package is 3 lakh per annum. Highest package is of 42 LPA.

As an alumnus i had a very good overall experience with Shoolini University and can suggest it to the aspiring students

Likes

The lab facilities are highly equipped with modern facilities
All the faculties in Shoolini University are PhD's and mostly are post doctorates
With the Major degree students can opt for Minors as well

Placement Experience:

Students are eligilbe for the placements after their second last semester. Different companies visits for different programs like for Biotech its Biocon, Abbot, Panecea Biotech, Roots Analysis, Macleods and for CSE its KPMG, Delloite, IBM and many more

Dislikes

Criteria for scholarships are sometimes difficult
Looking up for internships and research exposure from outside the university.
Delays can happen sometimes due to temporarily non availability of chemicals and equipments.

Likes

We have a decent syallabus system and prepare well for the competitive exams
I have been the vice president of the Kavya club and had a well participated in all the activities
Recent placements are done every year and we have a placement cell to handle all these activities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is well designed to prepare students for the industries and the research setups. Though we can still improve in the course setting and encouraging more interactive sessions with the experts of the respective fields

Beyond Books: My Shoolini Journey

Likes

Timing is very long for class, it must be reduced
campuslife and the quality of social interactions are good
The faculty's expertise, teaching methods, and mentorship quality are highly appreciated

Dislikes

Longer working of classes is not good we tried

A great place for academic and personal growth

Likes

This us a co-ed university and the ratio of girls to boys is adequate
The environment of the university is very nice

Dislikes

University timings are from 9 to 5:30 which is a little too long

A rewarding Journey of learning and Research at Shoolini University

Likes

Shoolini University offers a strong research oriented environment with supportive faculty.
Shooloni University offers a Friendly atmosphere to learn and grow
Good facilities for the students such as Wi-Fi, sports, library, classrooms and labs

Dislikes

More industry and field exposure must be done
Must also increase the number of guest lectures so that students can learn form their personal experience
More internship and networking opportunities needed

Placement Experience:

As my course was primarily research oriented, formal campus placements were not a major focus. However placements in other courses at Shoolini University are quite good, with an average package of around 8 LPA.

Memorable learning and Excellent research environment

Likes

I liked most about Shoolini University were its research oriented environments, supportive and experienced faculty, peaceful campus surrounded by nature.

Placement Experience:

As a Ph.D. in botany, the program was primarily research-focused, so campus placements were not a major component of the course. I pursued a career in research institution postdoctoral fellowships. The university provides career guidance, networking opportunities, and exposure through conferences and seminars, and research collaborations.

Likes

The campus and environment is very vibrant
Shoolini is great in research facilities and improving continously
The faculties here is very supportive and knowledgable

Dislikes

Need improvements in the field of physical sports
Gym facalities can be improved and more sports events can be conducted
There should be a proper auditorium within the campus

Students are able to get the placement from their second last semester if they have entolled themselves for placement process...various companies like nestle, cipla, icici bank, asian paints, mankind pharma etc. often used to visit here for placement

IIT Mandi- my home and karmbhoomi

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. Reviews of My IIT Mandi college

For eligibility criteria, you have to pass in 10th and 12th boards. I went to Kota for jee preparation and I also took a drop in 12th. after I filled out the Jossa counseling form I got an IIT mandi with the electrical branch. You should have 75% marks on the 12th board. otherwise, you can't sit in jee advanced exam. fee for jee mains form is 1000 rupees and Foer jee advanced is 2900. you can fill out Jee's mains form nearly december and jee advanced in around april.counselling time you should have all document which is compulsory for filling this form....Read More
