Christian Dental College Ludhiana, Bsc in cardiac technology

Remarks

First, there is a test that is mostly based on general knowledge and seats available are fewer. Then there are counselling sessions for each course and only the students who passed that can attend it. They provide details about fees and all the documents like 10th ,12 th marksheets are submitted to them..Reservation benefits are mainly for Christian minorities...There are only 3 seats available for bsc Cardiac technology course so there should we more seats available to students

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course beacuse I had interest in medical field and when I heard about bsc Cardiac technology,I was so into it.Students each year admitted are 3.Teaching in first year is good but second and third year you have to study yourself especially in our course AND if they take some classes they are all doctors (highly qualified) exams are held twice a year and passing is a bit difficult sometimes so you have to give paper again for all subjects

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship is necessary in our course and all as our college have a good reputation so they can be made eligible to mostly all hospitals..there is no stipend in our course but intership is necessary after that only we can get degree in our course..I am explaining most situations in my course but other courses are good too pursue in our college as it has less cons and more pros

Placement Experience

3.5

After completing the course student can pursue msc in our course as they don't really teach us that well and if anyone wants to go abroad soo i suggest you should choose some other college or just do study there only...placements can be made eligible in most cases for students after giving interview

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is okay...job opportunities are less and fees is not given on time...cost to study is less compared to others so in this section there is no need to worry but if you fail a subject you have to give exmas again

Campus Life

3.5

Library has mostly all books..there is not much in our course but in mbbs dental course they can enjoy many fests. In bsc Cardiac technology once or twice a function is held..but mbbs and other courses student can still enjoy many functions..support day was held just once but camps are held and students went to several villages to attend that and help people...some camps are also held in the college which is joined to cmc hospital

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
