A good place for MBA - Amity University

After I completed my graduation I opted for MBA as it gives a good opportunity for your career growth. Amity University provided me the best option according to my CAT score. It is a good institute for doing MBA and is ranked 22 for private universities by The Week in 2020. During the application form fill up you need to give all the academic details and pay the application charge through online mode.

There are 4 semesters in the MBA course. In each semester we have a variety of subjects according to the need of the course. During the final year, you can choose your major between Marketing, HRM and Finance. The professors use means like Case Studies, discussions, lecturing and one-on-one discussions for teaching. The teaching is mainly practical based. The exams are taken on time and the hectic schedule keeps you ready for any situation placed before you.

There is an 8 weeks internship program which is compulsory for all the students. It gives us the first corporate experience which is beneficial during our final placements. It’s better to get a good company as you may receive PPOs. The internships are paid and the stipend varies from company to company. The average stipend varies from 10000 to 15000 rupees.

The Career Advisory Board looks after the placements of the students. Generally the students who sit for placements get jobs in one company or the other. Companies such as Amazon, Coca Cola, CNN, Asian paints, Hitachi and Dyson are our top recruiters. The highest package offered in our batch was 30 LPA while the average package remained 17 LPA. The top recruiting domain was Marketing followed by Finance.

You would get a great return for the amount invested in the course at Amity University. The MBA program costs around 3.34 Lakh rupees annually which add up to 6.70 Lakh rupees approximately in two years. There are plenty of scholarship options available for the students. 100%, 50% and 25% scholarship is granted to the students according to the CAT score. Apart from that there are various other scholarships available for the backward class students.

The campus is one of the major highlights of Amity. It has all the facilities required for the students. The classrooms, library, medical facilities and sports facilities are highly advanced. The annual fests, Fresher’s party, tech fest, international seminars, and sports meet will keep you entertained all over. There are students from all over India so you would have a diverse effect of culture upon you. The management students are given various responsibilities to sharpen their management skills. So overall it is a happy experience.

Just like the campus, the hostels have all the required facilities for the students. The rooms are double bedded with a table, chair, and an almirah. The hostels have Wi-Fi 24*7, laundry and other facilities are also there. The mess food is good and they have a chart and according to which the food is made. Meals are served thrice daily with evening snacks and tea.

The pandemic has disturbed all the situations. Generally, there is a GD and PI before the final admissions but due to the pandemic, we only had a PI online before admission. The PI was of 15 minutes and as we didn’t have a GD many questions were asked in the PI. Your personality is tested, my past academics, work experience, and it is checked if you are fit for the course.
