Mediocrity at it's peek

The admission process was quite legitimate, the websites crashes were as expected, the result delay due to covid was expected too. But the admission cell is really active and responds to the student's queries really fast.

I am currently pursuing B.Tech. in CSE, as it's the most opted field in India, but here you'll find people who don't know shit about computers and are still pursuing the same course due to their result in JEE. The faculty of our department is really great, there are minimal chances of short attendance and students can be really frank in some cases.

Some companies visit the campus for internships, but they select students from the CSE branch only. The stipend would be around 15k per month, the rest of it is just self-applied bursaries and internships, placement record is better as 100% of the students of CSE get placed.

Placements had been declining mainly due to stupid students on campus, they don't talk about hackathons and competitive programming but study their course material all but their own, there's very less interaction when it comes to ambitious projects. All because of students' stupidity.

The fee structure is minimal as it costs around 70k per annum as tuition fees, plus hostels have low rate allowances too. Apart from this, students can have EWS scholarships and each year a list of such students is provided on the official WhatsApp groups.

Since I'm getting admitted to this institute during the covid era, I have zero expectations when it comes to fests and tours, but since our admission, we've had 2 cultural fests and 2 tours to Dalhousie and Kasol/Manali, and I'm still in my second year, and during the covid time. Presume the rest.

Hostels are okayish, they provide food that's bearable unlike what I heard about from TV and friends, our food is okay. There is an electric geyser for every hostel and there are plenty of washrooms in each block of the hostel. Rooms are generally shared between two, and conditions are livable, just get yourself some mosquito repellents.
