VNR VJIET THE PERSPECTIVE FROM A STUDENT

There was counselling through eamcet which I got through in. There are two rounds of counselling and i got a seat in the first round of counselling. The counselling was done online due to covid and the counselling results were out after a week. I also had opted for a cse course in vnr cse, ece courses in both jntu and cbit colleges which I didn't get an admission in. For my admission, you had to pass eamcet with atleast 40 marks and a decent ipe result to get admitted.

I chose ece and cse for my college and i didn't get admission in the latter, although ece is a good branch and has a lot of placements in it. The faculty are really experienced as you don't see many young professors since they're going under training. A lot of the faculty are experienced and have a strict work ethic. For each section, there's atleast 4 faculty to contact with 1 faculty teaching you the classes. This is per branch as the professors from the humanities branch are also free and can teach whenever they are free. The mentors are one per 10 ratios and are really helpful with your approach to college. There are 2 term exams for sem with a semester-end exam at the end of sem and lab exams. You are notified before the semester about when the exams start and you can use it for a headstart

3rd year 1st sem you get to be eligible to attend placements but you're given html, Java etc training in your 2nd year 1st sem itself. Many companies like Amazon, Deloitte are favourites in the campus due to one of the best workshops present in hyderabad in the campus. placements although are high in quality and can go as high as 45 lakhs and can start at 6 CTC. If a student has no backlogs and a good gpa of 7.5 there is almost 0 chance of not getting placed unless you don't apply for it. About 80% of students rack placements and CSE, ECE,EIE branches are the highest contenders for the placements in the college. Getting placed under the college is currently my goal with higher education on cards

The tuition fee is 131000 rs after the recent increase of fee by jntu. Since the college provides transport for first years and the college is close to many locals the transport issue is covered with. Additional fees such as miscellaneous fees, exam fees, library fees can be covered under roughly 25000. The scholarship I have is the TSEPASS scheme which covers all the tuition fees with only miscellaneous fees to cover by the students as well as a stipend of 2500 for the students as mess fee. I am still trying for placements currently in my branch

Fests are conducted regularly in the campus with multiple hackathons going around and a lot of club activities to follow in the college. There's hardly a dull week if you've been involved in a club or any fest in the college and it helps a lot with your social life to be good. This also ensures more interaction with seniors, other branches. Despite being a small college of 13 acres there's hardly any lack of courts or sports room in the campus. A lot of clubs such as Crescendo(music), Livewire(dance) clubs are there and there are atleast 9 cultural clubs. You are allowed to take 4 books in the library which is enough to cover your current semester and also a digital library for any missing book
