Remarks

My score in TNEA is 94.5 and gct was my third option. I was glad that I got gct computer science. It is a very good college with decent facilities and a friendly environment at low fees. Teachers are friendly and the teaching method is perfect. Hope to have a promising career.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose cse because of its increasing demand and technology. My dept has a total of 60 students included nonresidents of tamil nadu. They'll regularly conduct the unit tests and it's a bit harder. But the seniors and faculty help us crack it.

Internships Opportunities

If you get on to the good sides of the faculties you may get a chance to go for an internship where you can learn better. Be good study well enjoy a lot. Gct is a nice campus.

Placement Experience

You can apply for placements from your 6th semester If you have no arrears and get placed in top companies. Top companies like Infosys, hcl visit the campus and almost 90% got placed. You may also prepare for defense exams if interested even on our campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Gct is a college with very low fees. My course fee was 10000 per year also the hostel and mess fees are low. It avails many scholarships which will be known to you during the induction program. Girls have Pragati scholarship too.

Campus Life

It has had many fests and culturals over the year. The odd sem has one and even sem has sangamam. We can enjoy ourselves a lot there. The clubs of gct are free and likable. They maintain a very worthy campus. It's really heaven.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees are low but still comfortable. 3 people share a room with a bunk bed. it has 2 fans and 2 lights. Its maintenance was good and it is a greeny campus. It's even surrounded by peacocks. Food is good enough and only veg.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

A detailed review on GCT Coimbatore - Most affordable college of Asia.

In the admission process i applied only for government colleges like anna university chennai, gct coimbatore, gce salem, thiagaraja college madurai like that. Because i cant afford private college, among these government colleges gct coimbatore remains my first choice and got the admission in there. The main reason of choosing this college is affordable fee structure and good placement statistics. The admission process for government colleges are purely through Counselling process, there is no management quota. Based on our 12 th mark, a cutoff for 200 marks will be calculated. In this 100 marks from maths and 50 from physics and 50 from chemistry will be accounted. Then a rank list will be released based on this cutoff mark incl all applicants, it is called general rank list. There will be other rank list like community rank list where the rank will be grouped by community such as BC, MBC, SC/ST. Every college will release a seat matrix based upon their vacancy. Student have to fill a choice list based on their interest. And based on the rank, the software will check the vacancy for seats in the choice order and finally college is alloted.
