Remarks

Entrance Preview

MHT-CET. Selected only because got a seat in Mechanical. Direct Admission based on DTE Maharashtra CAP Round. Now JEE MAINS score is accepted.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Strictly as per University of Mumbai curriculum. Range of electives are available though but only in final year provided there are minimum number of students opting for that course! Audio visual are used to explain the subjects by some of the staff. Also course related industrial visits are also undertaken for the understanding of students.

Internships Opportunities

No. Absolutely no help is provided for getting internship in any of the industry! Only they help in getting the sanction letter if you manage to find by yourself. There is no such provision by the training and placement department of our children. Also no company ever comes for recruitment for internships.

Placement Experience

1.5

Below Average! Only CS/IT manages to get into local companies. Not even Mass recruiting companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, etc dare to come. And for Mechanical and Civil, it's ZERO PERCENT PLACEMENTS. No company come for recruiting core students. Average package by local companies like ARK, Cms ranges from 1 to 1.5lpa.

College Events

2

Very Small scale festival. It takes place only once a year, by the name " Jashn E Theem" It's a 5 day event combining all three I.e. cultural technical and sports in a span of 3 days. Participation is very less,as hardly students of our college comes, forget about students coming from other colleges. Overall it's just forgettable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is as per the Mumbai University Notification which keeps on changing every year. Mine it was 60,576. For caste category students it's very less. Plus additionally all gave to pay bus fees of rs.7000 and stationary fees of Rs 3000. Scholarship are available for needy students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is provided from college front. Though there are number of scholarship available for minority students from government of India, and also for below poverty line candidates by AICTE.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio: A healthy 50:50 in CS IT Very screwed in Mechanical: Only 3 girl in a class of 120. Majority crowd is Muslim community since this college is a Muslim minority college, so by default 50%seats are reserved for them. Since college crowd is mostly from Mumbai, hardly any intolerance or any sort of that take Place. Many workshops are do conducted by different departments all year round. Not a single society is present except ASME.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No hostel facilities are provided by the college. Though there are number of PG available near the colleges. The cost depends actually on mount of factors such as distance from college, electricity, facilities, food etc. Overall cost varies from 4k to 6k, depending upon the number of students in a single room.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful for any sort of help ever required by the juniors. They help out in every possible way out. Once I had a doubt regarding my project, my senior not only helped me in this regard but also requested a faculty member trip hero me in the project.

Exam Structure

Completely chilled out! Most of the all the equipment in the electrical and electronics department are defunct, this you don't have to worry much about practical exams. Exam pattern is strictly followed as per the schedule given by the university of Mumbai.

Faculty

2.5

Average, Some are exceptionally Excellent in explaining the concepts, while some are just below average! Very Few PhDs, Few Mtech, rest all are Btech. Overall not so very conducive environment to study! Very few are really interested to teach, they only come for doing there job for salary, that's all. Not that great in academics front.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
