Remarks

The admission process is very simple and transparent. The admission authorities are very helpful and attentive. They gave us a tour of the whole college on admission. They are very obedient and respectful to us.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very relevant to make students industry-ready and knowledgeable. The faculty is supportive in all aspects. They help us to gain extra knowledge rather than books. Overall they are good.

Internships Opportunities

The topmost companies are amazon, eespl, spray engs, Cheema boilers, Projets that we did in our college are network security and management, obstacle detector reboot, heartbeat monitoring system, accidental avoidance while distracted driving.

Placement Experience

Most of the students of college get placed. Placement did not require any high percentage Only skill matters. I won't continue my study in the same college I want to do my masters. In my core branch. Because the college is the best college in Punjab.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships offered by this college. The main scholarships are NSP, fatherless scholarships, merit-based scholarships, etc. The scholarships departments are very supportive. They are helpful.

Campus Life

All the books and journals are present in our library. Amenities are present in the classroom. Sports activities are done on our campus. The groups that are run by students are khalsai education and spirituality.

Hostel Facilities

Offline form filling is done in the warden's office. Hostels are very good. Safe and secure with all the facilities. With a good spirit of students. No outsiders are allowed in the hostel common room is also present in the hostel.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
