SSMRV degree College review

I haven't applied to any other colleges before this. I only applied for this college because it's near my home. I joined the college through the general quota so no discount. As per the college criteria, it should be a minimum of 75% in core subjects to avail any discount but my core subjects were not 75% so no discount on admission fees. The admission process was a hassle as many students were applying and the no of staff was as low as per students applying.

I was actually opting to join BSC computer science and this college didn't have this course so I had to go for BCA. So in BCA, we had only 1 section on which there were around 55+ students in the 3:2 girls to boys ratio. The teachers were all very well educated doing her BE Btech to ME Mtech. And most of the teachers, not all we're good at making students understand the teaching. And about the exams apart from the semester exams we used to have class tests twice per semester which was almost similar to the main semester exam but with fewer marks and time. Exams were pretty decent to get scores.

They usually start to do pre placement talks right after 3rd semester. There were MNC companies coming to our College too like Infosys Wipro TCS Amazon Google Capgemini etc. And I got selected in Infosys in which currently I'm working. The average package offered to BCA grads will be around 2.5LPA and the highest would be 3.5lpa. Most of my friends got placed in some kind or other jobs through placement and the rest wanted to continue their higher studies. I can say 65% of students got placed through college.

The fees were pretty decent considering other colleges. So for all 3 years of my course, I had the same fees and guys who got exceptional marks used to get scholarships and the yearly fees were reduced to them. The scholarship is provided to only those who score exceptionally well in exams. Yes, they do provide placement and assistance. I also got a job in Infosys through placement.

From per activities point of view, this is the best college because some kind of activity will be going on all the time may it be digital, social, regional, sports. Fests will be going on every month so year long some kinda activity will be there. Sports events will always be there may it be inter class or inter College sports events. I joined NSS in which we usually used to go to camps and trek to rural areas to teach the village people about something new. It was quite refreshing in between studies. There is a library in which mostly course related books are kept students can make a library card and borrow books to study for exams and so.
