I applied for NIT's all over South India, But I couldn't get a seat in preferred courses in NIT. Later I enquired about my seniors and also searched online about the best Universities all over South India. I applied for Gitam, KLU, Sastra Universities. Based on my Jee main Percentile and AP Board marks I got a seat in those three Universities. After knowing the placement opportunities, the environment at Sastra University, I decided to join it. We will get a call letter to attend the Counselling process. The admission process was smooth. They will provide the available seats in each course based on your Sastra Application rank and we have to select the desired course.

I was intrested in Electrical Engineering course and this course was too good in Sastra University. Faculty here are PHD holders or PHD graduating ones and they are quite experienced. There were almost 300 students per year in our course. We will be having 3 midterm exams and each in month gap. They will be a bit easy but the semester exams were difficult. The pass percentage was 50%.

There will be many Internships opportunities available with our college. I completed my internship in PCB system design and it was quite useful for future purposes. Based on your interests you can apply to internships.

From the 6th or 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. According to our seniors, nearly 50 companies visited the campus and students with above average got 5-6 placement offers. Highest package-29 LPA, Average package- 5 to 7 LPA. Almost 70% of students get placed. I am planning to join into the best placement I got after getting the degree.

Fee-160000 per year. If we adopt a hostel, the hostel fee will be 15,000 to 30,000. And mess fee will be collected monthly approximately 4000 per month. We can apply for an Educational loan for financial assistance. If the student loses their parent(who financially supports them) during their graduation from Sastra University then the University takes the responsibility of that student.

Life at Sastra Campus was cool. There will be students from different regions, states and NRI's too. Generally, we will be having an annual fest called Kurusastra held in March month. There will be many other fests and clubs which will be held during weekends or month end. There is a great chance to showcase your talent on campus.

Free wifi is provided for registered devices in the hostel. Students will have good basic facilities in the hostel. The registration process for a hostel is done for every year. It is done online based on first come serves first. The hostel fee is quite affordable.
