Remarks
The college admission process was very smooth, the process and guidelines provided was very clear. I also applied for NITs but didn't choose them because I was not getting CSE in top NITs and I was not interested in other branches. Choosing CSE in lower NITs is of no use as you will not get a good placement, there I choose YMCA university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer engineering is the most sought after course in present times, mostly because of its need in the private sector and wide job opportunities. Therefore I also choose this course. Faculty is good, they are cooperative, student teacher ratio can be said 1: 25. But like any other college be it NITs or IITs, you will haw to learn most of the skills on your own.
Internships Opportunities
The college itself invited few firms for on campus internships, like adobe, amazon, Wipro at a stipend of 25- 50 thousand per month, projects such as websites, Machine learning projects, data management projects are done and the outcome is a job prepared student.
Placement Experience
Placements are okay as companies like Amazon, Wipro, adobe and Samsung prove on campus placement with really good packages ranging from 12 lakhs to 31 lakhs. Students are eligible for campus placement in the 8th semester. The highest package is given by Amazon at 31 lacs and average package of the university is around 9 to 10 lacs. A good amount of student get the placement that is around 60 to 70% students. There are a lot of opportunities after the College degree as you can opt for either UPSC, jobs in private firms, study abroad, GATE exam, management colleges like IIMs and lot other.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is low as compared to some IITs but it is almost the same as other government colleges, college is developing at a great pace and new auditoriums, facilities and labs are incorporated every day. Scholarship for SC, ST and other OBC students is provided by the college, also a good scholarship is given to economically weaker students. There is also the facility of loan for poor students, an internship is usually from Internshala or any other companies college hai tie up with.
Campus Life
Clubs are really good, very organised and work with full enthusiasm, it is literally the best part of college life. There are multiple clubs, ranging from debating club, drama club to technical clubs. Sports facilities are good, faculties encourage students to participate in sports and sports available are basketball, badminton, cricket, table tennis etc.
