Remarks

I got admission in through KCET quota. First there was counseling once the results for KCET were out. In the option entry I entered a few colleges out of which was SVCE. Once done with option entry, I got selected in for CSE in here. Admission process is simple just pay the KCET fees through a DD from any HDFC bank i.e, 65290 and rest is the college fees 24950 on the fee counter inside college. Then you are officially an SVCEian.

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams basically occur only after the first three internals. Internals in my college has great significance for the external as well. The assignment given by my teachers and notes are much more than sufficient to score GPA greater than 8.0 Right before external there is compulsory revision for good scoring.

Internships Opportunities

SVCE offers many internships for its students through online and offline from CSE to ME all branches. From internshala and many other opening internship from many MNCs SVCE offers its students to undertake the internship free of cost.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester itself, students become eligible for placement. Not just that but also we have a program called QRIDES for young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to come up and show up their presentation in order to get investment to start up their own enterprise. We have companies visiting like , dell, amazon, Microsoft, cognizant, sap, HP. As of this latest year we have had an average placement of 3.4L Highest being 7.8L and lowest 2.6L More than 60% of the deserving students get placed at MNCs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There has never been a time for SVCE to hike the prices. In fact, they help us if there is anyone who is underprivileged. I got my financial assistance from scholarships as I had lost my father in the pandemic. Portals like; NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL STATE SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL College provides assistance to help us through the procedure to grab the scholarship in many ways. Specially teachers do help a lot.

Campus Life

The annual fest at SVCE is named KALAVAIBHAVA, which has been honored by having chief guests like, karthik aryan, kangana ranaut, Sonam Kapoor etc. One of the best fest in Bangalore to witness along with many inter-collegiate level competitions. Conducted most in the even semester. There are around more than 20000+ books in the library, being the advanced one with many computers in a row with not just engineering books but other competitive exams preparation books like UPSC, GATE, etc. Sports in SVCE are too many like kabaddi, long jump, sprinting, throw ball etc.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
