Remarks

Basic eligibility for getting reports like b.com is the 12th pass. For admission direction online portal of the University of Madras where you can log in with the fees and get the application form filled. After submitting the required documents like the TC 10th mark sheet and 12th mark sheet you have to go to the college in person for verification of documents. Original 10th mark sheet is required and TC is required. However, if your 12th mark sheet is not availed that would not be a problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

Surprisingly there is no particular teaching in the University of Madras distance education. There is an exam conducted yearly. We have to appear for the exams of two semesters together at the end of the year.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience

Though there is a campus placement from Madras University but not from distance education. There are a lot of companies coming for placement in Madras University where we can take part. Replacement will be about 20,000 to 50000 Max.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general category normal person, the fees for distance education is 8000 per annum. This might look probably high for distance education. Still, there is a concession for EWS, SC, ST, etc. There is also a job placement of about 20 to 25000.

Campus Life

Moreover, most of the things are not applicable for distance education as there is no fest. Books and journals are available in the library which can be easily accessible from the college library. Sports and extracurricular activities, amenities are not applicable for distance education.

Pursuing chartered accountancy with a degree course in distance education would be best from here.

Best friendly college with quality education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

From 5th semester students get campus placements. Highest ever is 80LPA i think from deloit or KMG. Mostly students get placements about 75% get placements. My plan after getting degree is clear CA inter and finals.

A view on recent days MCC

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester onwards the management made various efforts to conduct oncampus And they made it. Some companies which visited our campus is tata groups , vindhya e infomedia, wipro etc. Highest package offered is 3,00,000 per annum most probably 80 % of students placed. My plan after degree is to place in good reputed company.

CA student about distance education experience

As i have chose the path of chartered accountancy.. In order to have a degree i chose bcom and for correspondence facility i chose madras university as it was much preferred by everyone who prefer to do distance education. The admission process is through online and candidates who have applied through online would be asked to send their original copies ceriticates through post or the candidate may go in perspm and get the certificates verified.
