Highly recommended college

One can enter the college, KIET Group of Institutions by passing exams UPSEE or JEE MAINS. The minimum rank must be within the 5000 to get admission in civil engineering. To get admission to the college the minimum 12th and 10th marks must be above 60 percent. The admission process is very smooth but it takes the entire day. There is a separate counselling hall and several faculties are there to help during the counseling process. All documents are required like high school and intermediate mark sheet, UPSEE rank proof, address proof, personal identity proof. At the end of the day, you will get the admission confirmation letter.

I choose civil engineering because I have an interest in infrastructure and highways, it is also one of the best branches in B.tech. There are 10 to 15 head faculties in civil engineering and 18-19 faculties who help in the labs during experiments. The total number of seats available in civil engineering is 120 whereas in other branches it is 200. All the head faculties are having Ph.D. degrees in their fields and they have good experience in teaching. There are 3 main class tests in one semester that decide the major internal marks. Every student must appear in at least 2 class tests and score a minimum of 70 percent marks.

Students can join the internship program during college. Companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Wipro provide internship programs of 6 months and one year as per the choice with the stiped of Rs.5000 to Rs.10000. In the last year of college, you have to work on a major project which includes a team size of 5 to 6 students. You can choose the project topic as per your choice and a mentor will be allotted for each team for assistance and guidance. In the last semester, you have to submit the final report of the project along with the presentation and a panel of reviewers is there to gives marks for your project which is added to the internal marks.

In the fifth semester, students will be eligible for the campus selection process. The minimum mark in all semesters during B.Tech, intermediate and high school must be above 60% to appear for the interview during the campus selection process. Companies like Landcraft Developers Pvt. Ltd, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Airtel, Flipkart, etc visited for the campus selection process. The highest salary package for the branch of civil engineering is 5 LPA and the average salary package is 3.5 LPA. Most of the students of civil engineering want to prepare for government sector jobs in their fields.

It is a private college, so the fee is slightly high. The fee for the first year is Rs.117000 and for the next three years, it is Rs.95000. There are several workshops and events that go on during the semester, you have to pay an extra amount for those workshops but it is optional and depends on the student choice. There is no scholarship for the GEN and OBC category students but the SC/ST category students get a full free refund with the help of scholarships. In civil engineering, very few company visits for the campus recruitment process. 25-30 students got placement out of 120 students during the campus recruitment process. Companies like Landcraft Develops provide an average salary package of 3.5 LPA.

The name of the annual fest is EPOQUE which is held every year. It is one-week fest, each day includes different types of activities and programs, and the last night of the fest is called as the star night. You can vote for your favorite star to invite and the maximum number of votes wins so He/She will be there at star night. The campus life is beautiful and enjoyable there is separate ground available for the games like cricket, badminton, hockey, and football. At one corner of the campus, there is a beautiful Radha-Krishna temple. Classrooms and labs are equipped with all the necessary instruments. There are several social groups also available which help rural children to educate, you can join and participate.

All the necessary facilities will be provided in the hostel like AC, Geyser, Washing machine, and Water filters. there is a mess facility available at the rooftop of the hostel but you need to compromise with the food quality. The meal includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can apply for the hostel during the college admission or start of the year. The hostel is allotted as per the first come first serve basis. You can also rent the room or PG in a nearby locality at a lower cost. there are several restaurants available outside the campus gate, so you can enjoy the food you like. Grocery shops are also available at walking distance for the day scholars.
