Remarks
It was one of the smoothest admission processes I have ever been part of. The college details like placements, fees, culture, etc. were explained to everyone before any process. The admission portal was also glitch free and easily understandable. The admissions team was responsive to the queries. I applied for GLIM, KJSOM, IIMN, IIMV, GIM and TAPMI. I was told that GLIM's placement reports are not reliable. KJSOM has a lesser median CTC. I found GIM and TAPMI almost identical but finally decided to join TAPMI.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is very exhaustive and covers almost all the topics required by future managers. The teaching pattern at TAPMI is particularly unique with case based approach rather than rote learning. The faculties are qualified and helpful. The faculty ratio is 1:60.
Internships Opportunities
The major companies visiting for SIP are nestle, ITC, TATA capital, EY, Delloite, JPMC, Goldmann Sachs and KPMG, WIPRO, etc Avg stipend: 24000. Highest Stipend: 120000. All students get offered internships. The process is transparent and fair.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements after the first year. The following are the details of companies that visit TAPMI for placements: Avg stipend: 12.6 lakh. Highest: 24 lakh. 100+ PPOs offered. 181 companies visit the campus. Major companies: Delloite, TATA capital, HP, EY, Nestle, ITC, Crisil, JPMC, Goldmann Sachs, Airtel, Godrej, Oracle. 100% of students get placed for summer internships as well as final placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are probably on the higher side but adequate scholarship options are available. The cost of the study is a little more than similar B- schools especially when considering ROI. Further, the extra charge for electricity and mess is also very disadvantageous.
Campus Life
Atharva is the annual college festival of TAPMI. But TAPMI has various clubs and committees that a student can be part of. Right from specialisation based committees like Marketing Forum to committees such as the Sustainability committee, TAPMI offers opportunities for every type of students to hone and showcase their skills. In all there are 27 committees and all are run by students only. Libraries have most relevant publications and data sources.
Hostel Facilities
The room includes all basic facilities including bed, wardrobe, study table, internet connection, attached bathroom, and air conditioner. The rooms are well maintained by the housekeeping staff who clean them every day. The food quality is probably the best you will find in a hostel. The meals are top notch in terms of taste, quantity and variety of dishes offered. TAPMI is a compulsory residence institute hence there is no registration process in the hostel.
Interview Experience
The GD topic for me was "Indo-China relations- past, present and future". It was an enlightgening discussion to be part of, with candidates making very good points in concise manner. The PI experience was also very good. The panel was very considerate and calmed me down before the interview. The questions were based on logic and based on my work experience. The general knowledge was also tested along with basic questions like "Why MBA?".
