Remarks
The admission process had a panel of 2 faculty who asked each and every detail mentioned in the CV. One among them was a program chair of the institute who was checking the behavioural aspect. They asked about the extracurricular activities in which I was involved during my undergraduate days. They also asked if I had any specific plans for pursuing MBA. Then they proceeded with the questions which were more about how much I know about the institute I'm applying to.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well designed with experienced faculty. Faculty to student ratio is almost 20:1 which is very good. The campus is well equipped with all the necessities for a B-school. All the faculties are well qualified with PhDs in the relevant domains. The evaluation for all the courses had a variety of components like class participation, case study analysis, quizzes and assignments along with the term end examinations. Hence, a student is well judged and mentored on multiple aspects which helps one to develop his personality for a corporate world.
Internships Opportunities
The summer internship opportunities are good enough if people have relevant work experience. For freshers, it's a bit tough to crack SIP opportunities. The big companies come in the first few days of internship placements. Later on, startups start coming with a bit lesser stipends.
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are good with 100% placements and the average placements go up till 12 LPA for PGDM core. And the top 25%le placements average is around 16.5 LPA and for 50%le average is around 14.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is a bit lower than top tier B-schools. For PGDM course they charge somewhere around 15 Lakhs and overall the expense can go up to 20 lakhs for two years (including hostels, cafeteria and other utilities). College provides financial assistance too in the form of scholarships which can be availed based on certain criteria. The college has been constantly providing good placements with 100% placements since the last few years. Average package for PGDM goes until 11-12 LPA approx. which is indeed a good ROI for this course.
Campus Life
Life at campus is quite lively. TAPMI has various clubs and committees where students can explore their skills and develop their personalities. It has around 28 Clubs & Committees which comprises of different domains such as Student Executive Council, Placement Committee, Adventure committee (BRATs), Cultural Committee, Forums (Finance, Marketing, HR, Analytics), Sustainability committee and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is very good with either single or dual occupancy. The hostel rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms. Every room has a WiFi router setup which ensures good connectivity.
Interview Experience
Yes, we had gone through various evaluation bases for the admission process. Firstly, CAT/XAT scores were taken into account for shortlisting candidates for different courses like PGDM-core, PGDM-MSM (Marketing), PGDM-BKFS (Banking & Finance) and PGDM-HR. The admission process consisted of a Group discussion process and later a personal interview. All the candidates were to attend both the GD and PI rounds.
